“Why won't you talk about your family boss? Where they that bad? Did you dust them or something?” Dabi asked mockingly triggering shigaraki. Next thing Dabi knew he was pinned against the wall a dangerous hand wrapped around his neck pinky barely up hovering dangerously close. That alone wouldn't have made Dabi realize hes right but the tears in shigarakis eyes did. Wait the hands… he calls the one father… he really did kill them… and he's ashamed… it must have been an accident dabi thought. “Shut up dabi. You don't know shit.” Shigaraki growled his voice dripping with venom.

“I'm sorry shigaraki…” Dabi mumbled making no move to fight back feeling bad for triggering such memories. Shigaraki’s eyes flashed with many emotions some Dabi couldn't place but others he could like pain anger fear and sadness. Shigaraki slowly lowered his hand. “Be glad your too useful or I would have killed you” shigaraki said voice dark and cold. Dabi knew he was telling the truth. “I'll leave you alone shigaraki” Dabi hesitated. “If you ever want to talk about it… I won't judge you… we all have our ghosts” and with that he left.

Shigaraki was surprised by dabi's jester and unusual kindness. He scratched at his neck trying to think of why Dabi wouldn't torment him with this weakness. After all that's what they did. They tormented and bullied each other… right? Could Dabi actually care?

Dabi meanwhile got to his room and started to do some research on his leader with this new information. With the new information he found shigaraki’s real name and uncovered his past. He also uncovered a couple other things. A gaming platform which was obviously shigarakis and a video. A video of a young boy who was abused and accidentally killed his family when he got his quirk.

Dabi watched the video and now understood so much about shigaraki. Why he never let anyone touch him. Why he never got close to anyone. Why he hid and most importantly why he wore those hands. Dabi felt an overwhelming urge to go find shigaraki and comfort him but he stayed put. He knew it wouldn't be welcomed. He had to get shigaraki to trust him and open up to him. He made it his mission to do so.

It's been a few months since the incident with Shigaraki and Dabis been learning all he could about the man even going as far to become his online friend through the bluenettes gaming account. He has learned a lot about the boys interests likes and dislikes and has gotten him gifts with the information. He kept some anonymous like a stuffie that kinda resembled his dog and others he straight out gave him such as video games. He needed shigaraki to know he was sorry and that he was here for him. Dabi didn't look much into why he needed him to but he did.

That all led to now. Shigaraki had knocked on his door late at night with the dog stuffie in hand looking like he'd been crying. Dabi didn't know what he expected when he saw shigaraki standing there but it wasn't for the bluenette to hug him and start crying. Dabi didn't care though picking up shigaraki and holding him close while he closed and locked the door so no one else would see shigaraki like this.

“Shhh I got you… I got you shiggy…” Dabi murmured softly rubbing shigarakis back. He continued to whisper soft kind words sitting down and wrapping a blanket around the smaller male. It took a while for shigaraki to calm down but Dabi was patient offering kind words and endless comfort. When shigaraki did calm down he pulled back and wiped his face. Dabi waited.

“I-i know it was you… the secret gifts and the kind words on my gaming platform… I figured it out and I checked to be sure… i also know theres a video of that night and that you probably saw it…” shigaraki mumbled avoiding eye contact. “Yeah I saw it… reported it too something like that shouldn't be on the internet… and yes that was all me… I wanted to make sure you knew you aren't alone no matter how alone you feel…” dabi responded softly moving some hair out of shigarakis face. “W-why…?” Shigaraki asked finally looking at him.

“Because like I've said we all have our ghosts and… and I really care about you… and the league… you guys gave me a home and a reason to live… you gave me a reason to live” dabi said honestly cupping shigaraki’s face in his hand and touching their foreheads together. Shigaraki went wide eyed at that. “R-really…?” Shigaraki mumbled unsure. Dabi nodded and finally realizing why he cared so much pressed a soft chaste kiss to shigaraki's lips.

Shigaraki to say the least was shocked and flustered stuttering trying to figure out what to say. Dabi watched with a soft smile amused and very clearly in love. Shigaraki gave up trying to talk and hid his face. “Hey boss?” Dabi started. “T-tomura” shigaraki corrected feeling though it's only right after everything that he let Dabi use his name. “Tomura” Dabi smiled. “Would you be my boyfriend?”

Shigaraki pulled back looking at Dabi shocked. Dabi waited clearly a little nervous but hopeful something he hasn't felt in years. “R-really…? Y-you want me to… to be your b-boyfriend…? Even after everything and all the stuff you know…? Even though I'm… b-broken…?” Shigaraki asked quietly, embarrassed and unsure if this is a prank. “Yes I'm sure… we're both broken and you and I aren't so different and maybe just maybe we might be able to fix each other… so would you like to?” Dabi asked again.

Shigaraki teared up hiding his face again and nodded. “Y-yes I'll be your boyfriend… t-thank you…”.

“No thank you tomura you gave me a reason to fight and live… you have already started healing me when I thought that to be impossible so thank you”

“You've started healing me too…” Shigaraki confessed cuddling closer to Dabi. Dabi smiled. “I'm glad… may I know what happened to cause all of this?” Dabi asked softly talking about him showing up and hugging him. “Me figuring out it was you who's been doing so much for me like the anonymous gifts and kind comforting comments and stuff… and realizing that's why you've been nicer to me and been protective and understanding…” shigaraki answered looking at Dabi. Dabi nodded in understanding.

“So nothing bad then… Good” Dabi said moving more hair out of shigarakis face with a warm genuine smile. “C-can you…” shigaraki started before hesitating and looking away his cheeks turning red. Dabi smile grew able to guess what he wanted but he wanted to be sure. “Do you want another kiss tomura?” He asked earning a small nod. Dabi kisses shigaraki again, longer this time. They stayed like that in each other's arms sharing soft kisses for the rest of the night.
