Today I was meeting C.J. to show him some houses I found, they all were in the same subdivision so they weren't far at all. Normally I always bring some type of food for every showing and since this one was a public profile I brought chocolate chip cookies. I try to get to the houses 30 minutes early to set up and see what I'm going to talk about to during the tour.
After about 15 minutes I heard a knock on the door and opened it to see C.J. standing there. "Hey thanks for doing this on short notice ." He said as I let him in, "It's no problem" I said "So what do you have for me" He asked "So this is house one which I know you said you were looking for a old school style house with new features and this Mediterranean Revival style fits your description exact" I said walking in the entrance 1 hour later We were at the last house and I had already watched C.J. open everything in every house and eat all the cookies. "So tell me about you" He said going through the cabinets "What" I said thrown off. "Well if I'm buying a house from you" He said "Well I'm 23, I have a son and that's it really" "How old is your son" "3" I said "Nice to know" He said shaking his head "In that case tell me about you" I said "Well same age as you, from Cali, and my favorite rapper is Nipsey Hussle" He said. "Where from in Cali" "Rancho Cucamonga" He said which caused me to giggle. "What's funny" He asked "That name is so silly to me for some reason" "And where are you from" He asked "I lived in Raleigh then moved to Baton Rouge when I was 12" "Oh so you Country and Dangerous" "Not to much, I'm just country" "I was thinking about going with the first house,I liked that one the most how much is it" "It's $975,000" "Ok we can put an offer in on that one" "Great well I'll send you updates about the house and closing later this week. It usually takes about a month to close on a house" I said grabbing my stuff. "Alright well I'll see you later" He said "See you" I said as he walked out. I quickly grabbed my stuff and got ready to walk out. I had to pick up Ezra from daycare since it was already 6:00 and they close at 6:30.
"Hey Ms.Smith" I said seeing Ezra's teacher, "Hey Ms. Johnson can I talk to you for a second" She asked walking to the side with me in my mind I immediately sighed to myself. "So Ezra got into a accident earlier with another student and fell and hit his arm. He also refused to let anyone touch it but from what I saw he looked fine. We tried calling you but it kept going straight to voicemail. He's in the back sleeping right now." She said "Ok I'll go pick him up" I said. Raising a boy is not for the weak. "Mommy my arm hurts" He said as I picked him up. "Ok I'll look at it when we get home" I said putting him in his car seat.
"Let me see your arm Ezra" I said calling him to the couch. "Ouch" He said as I looked at the bruise. "What did you do to get this" I asked cause I knew it couldn't have just magically appeared. "I fell on the swide" "You fell or you jumped off it" I asked. He didn't even look at me so I got my answer. "Come on so we can go to Urgent Care" I said putting on my slides.
"So the good news is it's not broken, it's a fracture which means he'll have to wear a cast for two weeks and you can set up an appointment with an orthopedist." The doctor said. I'm not a genius but isn't a fracture the same as a break. "Ok" I said keeping that thought in my head. "So I'll go get the stuff to put the cast on" She said before walking out. "Mommy I scared" Ezra said "Don't be, you know when I was little I had to get a cast on my ankle" I said. I was lying but that's what you gotta do with a kid sometimes. "Did it hurt" "No it was a breeze" "Ok I not scared anymore" He said to holding his arm.
I was bed because I decided to take the day off after the day I had last night. I stayed up with Ezra till 12:30 am so I dropped him off at daycare and went to lay right back down. While I was watching TV I heard my phone ringing, so I flipped my covers to grab my phone.I saw it was C.J. calling me so I answered. "Hello" I said answering. "Hey you at your office right now" He asked "No I took the day off why" "I was going to drop off some things, can I just drop it off at your place" He asked since he seemed adamant on me getting whatever this is I said sure. After about 30 minutes he knocked on my door. "Hey Estelle" He said holding a box of snacks. "Hey, are these for me" I asked confused. "Of course as a little gift I brought you some snacks." He said passing me the box. "Aww thank you" I said looking at the box. "I can't believe the work aholic took the day off" "The night I had last night I have every reason to" "what you doing anyways" "Just watching tv" I said I was upfront catching up on Baddies episodes. "Can I join in bored and need something to do" "Sure I guess" I like watching tv with a partner anyways so we could talk about it after the episode.
We watched tv till he had to leave at around 5:00. It was a nice off day.
