Chapter 8

"Surprised I found you here?" Tan said teasingly.

Fang looked surprised and annoyed. He wanted to kick Tan out, but his eyes were already looking at the guard down there who was watching him. Tan must have admitted to being his husband so the guard allowed him in. Fang smiled briefly while nodding his head at the guard, then quickly pulled Tan into the room.

"What are you doing here?" Fang asked, lowering his voice.

Tan took a deep breath as he looked at Fang from the corner of his eye. "I asked you to go home earlier. Was it wrong for me to follow you here?"

Fang immediately looked away and chose to sit on the floor of his room. While Tan just stayed silent while looking around the room. This boarding room was four by four with an en-suite bathroom. Inside there was not much furniture, just a foam mattress lying on the floor with a wooden cupboard, a small table on the edge of the window, a medium-sized mirror attached next to the cupboard. Then there was also a sink with a table near the bathroom. It seemed like it was intended for boarding house residents who wanted to cook for themselves.

"So you choose to live in a place like this rather than at my house? Is that so?" Tan spoke.

Fang didn't answer, he just glanced at him sarcastically. Since when did his husband become this caring? Hadn't he never been his priority? Tan's time was only spent by Sun and Fang understood it. They were a couple, they love each other and once again he was just the third person.

"At least I'm more at peace here. No one's bothering me."

Tan was surprised by Fang's answer and immediately sat on the floor facing Fang.

"So you're annoyed with us, is that it?"

Fang did not answer but turned his face away. It felt like it was not a question he had to answer. Wasn't it Tan who deliberately made him uncomfortable and then chose to leave. So before Tan kicked him out, Fang decided to leave first.

"I'm sorry, Khaofang."

Fang was immediately shocked when he heard his husband say that. Was it his birthday? Why did his husband give him such a strange surprise? This was the first time Fang heard an apology come out of the thin lips of the handsome man in front of him.

However, Fang tried his best not to show his surprise. He just lowered his head and clenched his fists as if he was holding back something that was about to explode in his chest.

"I apologize if Sun and I made you uncomfortable. However, I beg you to come home this time. You are still my husband, Fang. What will people say if we live separately?"

Fang immediately raised his head and immediately his eyes met Tan's beautiful eyes. There was a lot of anger burning in Fang's eyes and he wanted to let it out right now. However, why were the eyes of this handsome man looking at him so calmly. As if showing deep regret. Did he really regret it and would change his attitude? Be fair to Fang and not just side with Sun.

"I don't think our neighbors will mind that." Fang had already answered. He knew that they lived in an elite housing complex where the neighbors' houses were far apart. Even if they were close, they wouldn't want to know each other's business. So why should they care about what their neighbors said.

"So you don't want to go home?"

Fang nodded firmly then smiled widely. "Isn't that better. You can do intimate activities anywhere without fear of me peeking."

Fang deliberately said it sarcastically as if reminding Tan what he had done the other day. Tan just kept quiet and tried not to be provoked by his words. For some reason, the handsome man in front of him looked calmer than usual. Even though he was the most easily provoked, especially when it came to the injustice of his polygamous household.

"Okay, fine. If you don't want to go home, I'll stay here!!"

Fang was immediately surprised to hear Tan's words. He thought Tan would just talk, but in fact he didn't. He had opened his jacket and took off his tie, then rolled up his shirt sleeves while shifting his body and immediately lay down on the thin foam mattress.

"I'm tired. I'm going to sleep first, okay!!"

Fang was shocked to see Tan's actions. Why did Tan just go straight to bed? Why didn't he just go home? What if Sun was looking for him? Fang was confused about what to do, finally choosing to stay silent, sitting in the corner of the room while glancing at Tan in annoyance.

It is true that the foam mattress in the boarding room can be used by two people, but Fang still does not want to sleep with his husband. The last time he shared a room with Tan, it left him with a torturous pain that Fang did not want to experience again.

Only fifteen minutes, Tan fell asleep. Suddenly he opened his eyes and immediately got up from his sleep. He sat on the bed while looking at the wall of the room. Fang just watched silently and did not ask. Fang dared to bet that his husband would not be able to sleep here. Surely soon he would choose to go home. Wouldn't it be more comfortable to sleep at home in Sun's arms.

"Er... there's no AC here, Fang?" Finally Tan complained.

Just as Fang guessed, his husband would not be able to sleep here. Fang's boarding room did not have AC, the only air conditioner was a fan attached to the wall with a noisy sound like a helicopter.

"There!! The AC!!" Fang pointed to the only fan in the room.

Tan seemed to be gasping for air while busy waving his hands to ward off the heat. Several beads of sweat had stuck to his forehead. His white face was now also red like a boiled crab. Not to mention his shirt that was already soaked with sweat.

Tan was born into a wealthy Alpha's family, since childhood he was used to sleeping and doing activities in an air-conditioned room. That's why he immediately got hot sleeping in a place like this. Seeing his restless husband, made Fang smile and had an idea to chase him away.

"It's hot here and there's no air conditioning. Are you sure you can sleep soundly until morning? You'd better go home. Poor Sun is all alone at home waiting for you."

Fang was silent waiting for Tan's reaction. Usually Tan would be furious and maybe curse him especially since Fang had mentioned Sun's name as the reason. However, it didn't happen this time.

Tan just took a deep breath then without saying anything took off his shirt and threw it carelessly. Suddenly his beautiful body that Fang had seen the other day was clearly visible in front of him. Fang was silent and tried to turn his face away. He didn't want to be tempted by his husband's beautiful visual. Maybe what Tan did this time was just a trick so that he would go home.

"Can you please turn off the lights!! I can't sleep if the lights are on," Tan asked. He said that as if he didn't care about Fang's previous words.

Fang looked annoyed. Grumbling, he got up and turned off the lights in his room. Fang had just turned around and was about to sit back down in his previous spot. Suddenly, Tan was standing in front of him and immediately pulled Fang's body until he fell onto the bed.

"Tan!! What are you doing!!" Fang protested and tried to get up, but Tan's hands had already embraced Fang's body and even hugged him tightly.

Fang glared as the man accidentally held his precious asset just like that. Fang struggled to get away, but Tan hugged him even tighter. Fang didn't know what happened to his husband tonight. Fang was sure that what Tan did this time was on Sun's orders. How could he possibly do it on his own accord. That was the most unreasonable thing.

Fang reluctantly stopped his resistance. He did not want his refusal to be heard in the next room. They would definitely suspect that Tan was not his husband and it would end up harming him later.

Fang froze in Tan's embrace. He didn't know what to do. This was the first time Tan had hugged him this tightly. It seemed like Tan knew that Fang couldn't close his eyes. Without being asked, Tan moved his face closer to Fang's ear and whispered softly.

"Go to sleep... we'll continue fighting tomorrow morning. I'm tired."
