[ Kylie's pov..]

I woke up with maila putting on cream on my face I tried to turn round but maila wouldn't stop i hissed at her and she acted like she did too "Can I stay in today please?" I asked but she shakes her head and leaves. Why was she being so wired?

After a few minutes I get my book out form where I hid it and smiled I quickly put it back and I went into the downstairs then into the living room where peder and Morgan were playing I smiled "can I join?" I asked they nodded and added a controller for me and I started to play I didn't see maila in a few minutes actually. I asked Morgan where is she and she just said she left.

"Left for what?" "I heard she's getting some pills?" Morgan answered kinda reminded me of ruby not this human ruby but the cat ruby. i nod and keep playing after everyone woke up but the car was gone cause maila had taken it ruby calls maila

"Maila?"

"Yeah?"

"Where are you?"

"I'm getting my pills.."

"maila are you okay?"

"It's fine it's just been getting bad lately."

"Okay well me and the others are waiting for you."

ruby had hanged up but I was confused what was she meant by pills? Like drugs? No.. maila would never. "Kylie if you're confused then maila has really bad anxiety and it's hard for her to control it." Ruby said sitting next to me "so she needs pills for that?" "Yeah I guess so she hasn't been to the doctor until a hour ago you were still sleeping." I didn't think much of maila. I mean she was my I guess human friend? no maybe someone that helped me I don't know.

"Kylie do you wanna play basketball with me and Tristan?" Peder asked me I shaked my head and sat on the couch ruby sat with me

"Hey it's okay shes okay at least I think." Ruby said trying to comfort me but words didn't help at all after a month I have gotten some cream to let me go outside and all of that but still. It's been a month of me staying in the house and I feel like this is my family. ruby puts on a tv show called "are you afraid of the dark" and I just start watching forgetting about maila for a few hours

i hear the door unlock and I see maila with a small bottle of pills she looked tried.. I felt bad and started to follow her to up to her bedroom but she pushed me away but weakly then locked the door on me I went downstairs again to find ruby making soup for us "ruby what's wrong with maila?" "She gets tried each time she goes to the doctor we don't know why she doesn't want us to come." me and Morgan went out for ice cream but I couldn't get over the fact that maila was sick.

"Kylie?" Morgan said making me snap out of my thoughts she had two ice creams in her hand i taken the chocolate one.

"I know your worried about maila it's just she's been like that. She never wants to tell anyone about her problems." Morgan said looking at her ice cream I didn't know what to say. I mean sure maila was there for me but I can't be there for her. Maybe cause I'm a vampire? I don't even know "does she not wanna be my friend anymore?" I asked Morgan shaked her head no "no Kylie she's going to be okay." me and Morgan went back home and we all waited until the soup was ready

"Smells good in here" maila said she looked like she woken up form a nap I hugged her and she hugged back ruby just smiled and Morgan "where are the guys at?" Maila asked Morgan pointed upstairs and maila did that "ohhhh" face then went to help ruby cook I hear a crack in the wall but It didn't seem be noticed but then I hear a boom

"KYLIE!" My dad yelled though a portal glowing blueish while five men had types of guns i quickly got up and looked at the ring it was.. not broken? maila was quick and ran to me and got me by the arm but all of the guns were now pointing at her she didn't care she whispered in my ear "kylie don't leave.." I looked at my dad then at maila I hugged maila and said
"I love you maila." as soon as I said that my dad pulled me back and maila was about to scream and cry but I didn't hear it.

i wake up in my bed with my dad next to me I sat up slowly and him now looking pissed as ever "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED KYLIE?" My dad yelled my mom came in with some eyeball soup and gave it to me on a small table of my bed but I pushed it away my dad looked disgusted at me "your lucky I found you in a month them humans are about to kill you." My dad said

" well you're never home I don't know how you expect me not to be too things no one has cared for me all my life and now I'm getting yelled at!? FOR WHAT?" I snapped me and my dad started yelling at each other and he hit me with a punch in the face I kicked him Of the room and looked at the ring I threw it out the window then shut it close. i started to draw or play basketball but everything I did reminded me of maila.

maybe vampires and humans don't go together.
