you feel insecure

"What should we do today?" Megan asked as she kept her fingers wrapped around yours.

"I'm not sure. What do you feel up to doing?" You wondered as you lifted your head from her shoulder to look at her.

"Why don't we go for a swim?"

"Isn't it a little too chilly outside for that?" You asked and she shook her head with a smile.

"I meant the indoor pool, cutie," She replied before reaching out to brush her free hand across your cheek. "I think it'd be a fun way to pass a couple of hours."

You sat up and she did the same before quickly catching the look of hesitancy in your eyes.

"I don't know. I don't have anything to wear."

Megan brushed her fingers across your thigh in comfort because she knew that you didn't feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit, not even in a place where only her eyes would be on you.

You're not very confident in your body and you often feel very insecure.

You tend to get lost in your self-doubt and all of the bad things that your mind says about you and she knows how much you hate that about yourself.

It's why she always tries to cheer you up and showers you with compliments and love; you deserve it greatly.

"We don't have to wear anything revealing, baby. It's only the two of us and we could just swim around in a t-shirt."

You turned your head to look at her and quickly met her brown eyes.

"It sounds fun but-"

"But nothing." She whispered before gently pushing you back down on the bed and moving to hover over you. "I wish I could get you to see yourself the way I see you because you are so incredibly beautiful. In my eyes, you couldn't be more perfect. You're the most gorgeous girl in the world."

You went to shake your head but her hands gently cupped your cheeks to stop you.

"Don't shake your head. Don't tell me that I'm your girlfriend so I have to say things like that or that you're not beautiful because you are and I tell you that because I mean it wholeheartedly."

"I just don't like my body sometimes." You quietly confessed.

"I know." She replied with a look in her eyes that was as soft as the way the words fell from her lips. "That's a normal thing to feel and to think sometimes. But never forget that I'm in love with you. And when I say that, I don't mean that I'm in love with only certain things about you. I'm in love with every inch of you. I could go on for days about how beautiful you are to me and tell you every reason why."

You cracked a smile as she put her forehead on yours and looked deeply into your eyes.

"I don't ever want you to feel insecure around me, okay? I think you're gorgeous when you're in sweats or you wear clothes that are covered in stains. I think you're gorgeous when you first wake up in the morning and your hair is all messy, like it sticks out at every angle."

You giggled and it made her heart flutter.

"I think you're gorgeous when you're in your best dress and heels with your makeup done when we go to events. I think you're gorgeous when you wear absolutely nothing."

"Megan!" You gasped and playfully shoved her shoulder, making her laugh.

"My point is that you're gorgeous. I  think you're gorgeous all the time, no matter the situation or what you're wearing or not wearing. I think you're the most beautiful girl to ever exist."

"I think that's you."

She shook her head with a laugh.

"But thank you."

"Anytime, my love. I mean it, don't forget that."

You nodded before pulling her in for a kiss.

"So do you feel like going swimming now? We can just wear a T-shirt if that makes you feel more comfortable."

"It does and I'd love to go swimming but there's something else I want to do first."

"What's that?" She asked.

You pulled her in for another kiss and she smiled against your lips as she realized what you meant.

"You just want to make out, hm?"

You quickly nodded and she grinned before pulling away to kiss your neck.

"That sounds just as perfect, darling."

You tilted your head back with a soft sigh.

"Whatever you want, I'll give you. Just as long as it gets you to believe, to feel, that I'm so in love with you; every inch of you."
