Present

“Have you thought about telling him how you feel?” Jiwoo asked, her eyes curious.

“N-No, not yet,” I replied, already nervous at the thought.

“Y/n, maybe it’s time you tell him,” my dad suggested, but I just shook my head, hesitating.

“Sweetheart, if you don’t let him know, you might see him with someone else one day. Imagine the heartbreak that could bring,” he said softly.

“I know, but I’m scared. I don’t want to ruin the beautiful connection we have now,” I admitted, my fears spilling out.

My mom joined in, teasing, “You’ve never been this afraid of anything before. Is he that nice to you?”

“Yah, Jiwoo, quit it!” my mom added with a laugh.

“Y/n, don’t let fear hold you back,” my dad continued gently. “If he’s meant to stay in your life, he will. And who knows, he might even feel the same way. Take the chance and tell him.”

“Alright, Dad. I’ll think about it,” I replied, managing a small smile.

Next Day

After a restless night of thinking, I finally made up my mind to confess. I read through old letters and memories, and I realized it was time—time to either tell him or move on.

I texted him, asking if he’d like to meet up. Thankfully, he was free, and we agreed to meet at the park near our old neighborhood.

I wore a white floral dress, decorated with delicate mini flowers and a small slit on the side. A simple bow tied it all together, adding a soft touch.

My sister, Jiwoo, helped me get ready. “Unnie, all the best!” she cheered, grinning.

I patted her head and smiled back. “Thanks! Take care of yourself while I’m gone. Call me if you need anything,” I told her, and she nodded.

“By the way, who is this guy?” she asked, curious.

“I’ll tell you when I get back! I’m already late. It’ll take me about 15 minutes to get there.”

At the Park,

“Hey!” Yoongi called out as he turned around, just as I spotted him.

“Oh, Yoongi! You scared me!” I laughed, trying to mask my nerves. “How are you?” I asked as we settled onto a bench in the shade.

“I’m good. How about you?” he replied, flashing his familiar gummy smile—the one that always made my heart skip a beat.

After a few moments of comfortable silence, I finally spoke. “So… how’s life? Have you met anyone special yet?”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “Not yet.”

Taking a deep breath, I gathered my courage. “I… I wanted to tell you something. To confess something…” My voice trembled, each word coming out with hesitation.

“Yeah?” he said, his gaze warm and encouraging.

“I-I… I can’t…” My heart was racing, and my voice felt caught in my throat.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and blurted out, “I love you!”

My eyes stayed shut, afraid to see his reaction. My heart pounded as I waited, until I felt his hand gently holding mine. He pulled me closer, and before I knew it, our lips brushed together.

“I love you too, you silly girl,” he murmured softly. Hearing those three words filled me with pure happiness and a sense of comfort I’d never felt before. Smiling, we gazed into each other’s eyes, lost in the moment.

Then, he leaned in, and our lips met again, but this time it wasn’t just a brief touch. It was a real kiss—a kiss filled with everything we felt for each other.

“I love you more than anyone else in the entire universe,” he whispered, his voice full of warmth.
