The silence stretched across the forest, vast and unnatural, pressing on Sarah's skin like the weight of the grave itself. Every shadow around her seemed to breathe, closing in with a dreadful awareness, as though the trees, the earth, and even the air itself had become part of Elias's cursed domain. Her fingers clenched around the silver charm, now ice-cold and lifeless in her hand—a last, pitiful relic of the battle she was losing.

She looked up, heart racing as Mark's twisted form loomed over her. His eyes—the only part of him that still seemed alive—shone with terror and agony, trapped beneath Elias's dark control. His lips moved, shaping her name, but the voice that came out wasn't his; it was Elias, whispering in a voice both mocking and caressing.

"Sarah..." he hissed, each syllable drawn out like a death sentence. "Did you really believe you could escape me? You belong to me now."

Her blood ran cold as his voice filled the air, not just coming from his lips but echoing from every corner of the forest, as if the trees themselves were chanting her doom. She took a step back, desperate to flee, but the ground beneath her shifted, writhing as though alive, sprouting twisted roots that coiled around her ankles, sinking deep into the soil. With every step she tried to take, the earth gripped her tighter, the shadows whispering her name in an endless chant.

Mark's face contorted again, flickering between his own features and Elias's grotesque grin, stretched wide in a mockery of human expression. His hand reached out, twitching and jerking as though caught between two forces, before it finally settled, cold and steady, with Elias in control. "I told you..." he murmured, his tone sweetly venomous. "You're alone now. No one can save you."

As his fingers wrapped around her wrist, the charm fell from her grasp, tumbling into the darkness below. Sarah's eyes widened, and a sickening realization crept over her—it was over. The charm, her last shred of hope, was gone, swallowed by the shadows like everything else.

But as she looked up, the horror only deepened. Mark's body was changing, warping beneath Elias's possession. His skin grew pale and taut, his eyes turning an unnatural shade of green, glowing like malevolent stars in the dark. Dark veins crawled along his skin, twisting around his neck and wrists as Elias's presence consumed him, turning him into something no longer human.

A low rumble began to build beneath her feet, and Sarah felt the ground splitting open. A chasm yawned beneath them, revealing an abyss that seemed to stretch infinitely downward, into depths she could barely comprehend. From the darkness below, twisted forms began to emerge—pale, distorted figures with empty, hollow eyes and mouths open in silent screams. They were the spirits of the cursed, bound to Elias's realm for eternity, clawing at the edges of the earth, desperate for release. She could see their fingers reaching, pale and skeletal, straining toward her, their touch like death's own hand.

The shadows coiled tighter, crawling up her legs like tendrils of ice, leeching the warmth from her body. She tried to scream, but her voice died in her throat as Elias laughed, the sound echoing through the forest, reverberating from every corner.

"There is no escape," he whispered, his voice creeping through her mind, chilling her soul. His hand pressed against her cheek, cold as a corpse, his fingers digging into her skin with a grip that felt eternal. "You will stay here, Sarah, bound to me... forever."

A blinding pain shot through her as Elias forced his will into her mind, tearing into her memories, her thoughts, her very being. She could feel his presence rooting inside her, settling deep into her soul like a dark seed, twisting her memories, filling her with images of despair and death.

In a last, desperate move, she fought back, pulling at the remnants of her strength. She forced herself to remember Mark's face before the darkness, the warmth of his smile, his laugh—all the things that Elias could never touch. For a moment, she felt something push back against Elias, a small glimmer of light flickering within her.

But Elias's laugh grew louder, mocking her efforts. "You think those memories will save you?" His voice was rich with cruel satisfaction. "They'll only make your suffering last longer." His fingers tightened, and the darkness surged forward, closing around her vision, smothering every last trace of light.

With a strangled cry, she managed to pull away, stumbling back as the darkness parted for a moment, revealing the terrifying chasm once more. She saw Mark's face, his eyes hollow, his expression filled with the last remnants of his humanity. "Sarah..." he choked, his voice faint, pleading. "Don't... let him take me."

But even as he spoke, his face twisted back into Elias's sickening grin. "It's too late," he whispered, his words dripping with triumph. "You are both mine, bound to me for eternity. And when you think it can't get worse, I'll show you just how deep the darkness goes."

The chasm widened, splitting the earth with a sickening crack. She could feel herself being pulled toward it, her feet skidding helplessly along the ground as Elias's twisted laughter filled the air. Shadows erupted from the ground, circling around her like vultures, ready to feast on whatever remained of her soul.

In a final, desperate act, she reached into her pocket, feeling for anything, something to ground her to reality. Her fingers brushed against a small, broken piece of the silver charm, its edge sharp, glinting faintly in the darkness. She gripped it tightly, feeling the cool metal bite into her skin, and held it out, hoping it would repel the shadows once more.

The charm flickered with a feeble light, illuminating Elias's face for one brief, agonizing moment. His smile faded, replaced with a look of pure, seething rage. He hissed, recoiling slightly, but the darkness around him surged forward, consuming the charm's last spark. She watched, horror-struck, as the light died, snuffed out by the overwhelming void.

As her vision faded, the last thing she saw was Mark's face, staring at her from within the abyss, his eyes wide with terror. And then Elias's voice filled her mind, wrapping around her consciousness like chains.

"This is only the beginning, Sarah," he whispered, his voice cold and final. "You're mine. Forever."

With a thunderous roar, the chasm swallowed her whole, plunging her into an endless, suffocating darkness, as Elias's laughter echoed all around, a sinister promise of the horrors yet to come. The forest fell silent, and the shadows closed in, sealing her fate in an unbreakable, eternal curse.
