Both men froze and turned to look at him, surprised he had spoken up. In that moment, he felt a surge of courage, as if a long-dormant lion had awoken inside him. "I've had enough of you two! You've been the pain of my existence. I hate you! You're an arrogant piece of shit, I said to the tall guy, you think you're better than everyone else just because you've been hired by a company that, to be honest, no one knows or cares about. Let me tell you something: you're not important. You're just a simple man hiding behind your fancy blue suits, your wife and kids, and your stupid expensive watch."
"And you," I continued, glaring at the small guy, "you've ruined my potential. Because of you, I've wasted my time and energy on things that don't even matter. I've become the shame of my family, the one everyone avoids talking about. You're just a ridiculous fool who thinks life can be fixed by painting flowers and wearing sombreros. I just failed my job interview today. I'll be homeless tomorrow. I've achieved nothing but emptiness in my life. I am alone and will die alone. Just leave me alone!"
Suddenly, the doors opened, and a bright light flooded in. "Sir, are you okay?" asked the security guard. "We're sorry for the inconvenience; we had to wait for three minutes for the janitor to find the special equipment to open the door." "Thank you," I replied, stepping out of the elevator, embarrassed. I wasn't sure if the security guard had heard me screaming."Your face is wounded. Do you need medical assistance?" the guard asked."No, I'll be fine. But the tall man and the small man have worse injuries; they'll need help," I said, pointing behind me."What men?" the security guard asked.
"You know the tall man with his suit, and the small man wearing a sombrero, " I said. I looked back at the elevators. The sides of the wall with the mirrors had been broken, and some pieces of the painting on the ceiling had fallen, but no one was there. I walked out of the building nervously , was I dreaming? I did not really know, they looked real to me, these two guys. Looking at this huge building from the outside, I saw that it was only a building, just a gray building. For the first time in my life, I felt surprisingly light, as if the burdens I had carried inside had finally slipped away. A genuine smile appeared on my face as I walked down the street, embracing the possibilities that lay ahead.
