I’m Melou. I’m a liar, yet you believe me. But when I tell you I love you, would you still do?
***
Liar.
What an understatement.
I fabricate truths a little and produce false statements. But who am I kidding?
If you put it simply, it’s just lying.
Now don’t raise your eyebrows at me. Everybody lies, right? Saying no would make you a hypocrite.
I’m really good at lying. So good that I consider it as a talent. They say it’s a curse, I say it’s a blessing. Even though I’m a liar, I still have plenty of friends to count on.
A lie.
I don’t have many friends, you see.
Another lie. I don’t have any.
Okay fine. I have a friend. Well, at least he treats me as one. After all, he’s Mr. Friend of all.
I knew I shouldn’t have let him be my friend. But after the three words he said, I couldn’t help it. Those three words are words that no one ever said to me before.
“I love you.”
Okay, that was a lie. Although I wish it wasn’t.
“I believe you.”
And those three words made us the best of friends. A weird pair though. Unlike any other cliché stories, I didn’t fall for my best friend. I’ll never fall for him. That would be stupid.
But of course I lied.

“Don’t mind them.” my best friend, Dyma, whispered to me. It was still odd to say best friend but for some reasons, it feels good to have one.
