I had met my mate 2 years ago. I was in Alaska for 2 weeks when I walked into a jewelry store looking for a gift for my online best friend for her birthday. Turning 16 was a big step, and I wanted to spoil her. I had heard a beautiful voice, I had never been one to focus on girls. If i saw the first sign they liked me I would tell them I had a girlfriend. That wasn't true but I was waiting for my mate, and I was glad I did. She stood there trying on rings, though she was talking about getting it for her soul brother as he had gotten her a ring for her birthday. I saw it around her neck and I knew I couldn't be jealous. After I had made my purchased I stepped out where she was to talk to her. I realized she wasn't human, which made it easier for me to tell her.

She was shocked at first, I was expecting a worse reaction. But her first question was if it was possible for a half human to have children, I knew then that she dreamt of it. I responded in positive and just like that, we were going slow. Well.. we tried. Right before I left we completed the bond, I was almost late for the plane while I was sitting in the car explaining the changes she would experience. I also told her not to do the bunny diet, as she complained how much she hated it before.

After I left we video called almost every day, I missed her more than words could describe but I had to go home. She told me the day I turned 17 that she was moving to Forks, my home town and where I lived. Sadly, I wouldn't be there for two years as I was going to culinary school to pursue my passion in cooking.

I visited every break I had, though it only lasted 2 days each time. When I finally completed as I was doing half online and half in school I had just turned 19 a month before, so when I entered my home, it was the same as I left. I lived with my father and paid rent. I also had talked him into removing all photos and refurbishing the house.. I wasn't expecting what I saw. There was a new laundry room, the walls were grey and the trimmings were black which I loved. He left my room untouched as I had it redone before I left. It looked great. I unpacked and texted Rosalie that I was home. I never had received such a positive message from her. I had surprised her last break with a new car for her as she visited me for a surprise. She adored the car and never used her old car, actually she gave it to her "twin" brother Jasper. She texted saying she would come over after school, which was in 2 minutes.. Though she told me to look in the closet.

I did and saw a tiny shirt that said "Can't wait to meet you, daddy." Then I knew..

My princess was pregnant.
