"So, what happened with you and...Ladybug, is it?" Marinette smiled at Chat Blanc, hoping for a sign of reassurement from him, but all she got in return was an awkward silence.

The silence lasted for a short period of time, but felt like forever.
"She was my partner. My best friend. But now-she found someone else to replace me. Her name was Rena. Rena Rouge. You've probably heard of her, since your friends with the girl that does the Ladyblog. Anyway, I despised her- until Ladybug finally took back the fox miraculous. Then she got another one. One worse than Rena." Marinette patiently listened to what he had to say. It was probably not very often he talks about Ladybug. She felt crushed. If she knew that she was hurting him this much, then why didn't he say anything? Was it her fault? No. Surely not, right?
"Who was it?" Marinette stayed silent after that. She needed to know this. To de-akumatize him. To get Chat Noir back.

Tears welled up in Chat's eyes. "It's cold out here, isn't it?" Marinette tried to change the subject, but so far, nothing happened. She stood up, and pulled his arm so he could stand too. "Let's get you inside, then we can talk more about it, if you like." Chat nodded and Marinette disappeared down the trapdoor. He wiped his eyes and headed towards the door. "I'm sorry if I'm boring you with details. But I gotta go-" Marinette poked her head back through the trapdoor and stared into his eyes. "Do you have somewhere to sleep?" Marinette asked him, trying desperately not to sound like she was forcing him to stay. "No. But I can't stay with you-I'll be too much hassle. Goodbye Marinette."

He looked back at her with pleading eyes, hoping she would invite him back inside again. He didn't want to go back home. To his father. He also was still mesmerised in her lips. He wanted nothing but to kiss them. "Well in that case-I think you would NEED to stay here. I can miss school for at least 3 days tops." His eyes opened wide. "Really? You would do that? For a akumatized villain? I thought you would be afraid of me." She smiled and her head disappeared again down the trapdoor. Chat followed her this time. He dropped down onto her bed and walked down the stairs.

"Where am I gonna sleep?" Marinette stayed put and silent before replying. "Anywhere. I'm gonna sleep in my bed, up there." She pointed to her bed up near the entrance to her balcony. Chat blushed and looked down at the floor. "Can I join you in your bed?"
