There was no air circulation around me. Light breathing, three people. My wrists are cuffed to a metal chair along with my ankles. I slowly open my eyes to see I'm in a glass box about a meter wide.
"I see you've woken up," A voice says. It was Iron Stupid. I stay silent.
"Who are you?" he asks, twirling a pen.
I stay silent.
"No answer? Okay, either way I'm pretty sure I already know the answer. Next question, where are you from?"
I don't answer as I take in my surroundings and how to escape.
"How old are you?" He asks.
He sighs at my silence.
"Fine, you know we'll get it out of you no matter what."
I stay silent as he leaves the room. After 5 minutes, I figured out my plan.
1 Phase out of the box and take out the two guards
2 Phase out of room
3 Turn invisible
4 Find my mask
5 Waltz out happily
I quickly phased out of the chair and the little glass box, the guards held up their guns but I killed them effortlessly and noiselessly. I phased through the door and then turned invisible, I walked through different hallways, searching for a hint to where my stuff may be. Nothing. To make matters worse, I was officially lost. Even worse, HYDRA was definitely going to punish me for this little capture. And badly. It was supposed to be an in-out job but I went off the rails.
I sank down onto my butt and un-invisabilitied myself. No one was in the hall so I just sat and waited. Burying my head in my hands, I replayed the past few events.
Was HYDRA most probably going to almost kill me for this? Yes.
Did I care? Also yes.
Did I still have to get back to HYDRA? Yes.
Did I need to find my stuff? Guess what the answer was... Drumroll please... yes!
Unknowingly, a few silent tears ran down my face.
No. I had to stop being a wimp and find my stuff then find HYDRA. I got up and became invisible. I was lost in thought when suddenly, I hit someone, something.
I jumped back, my invisibility faltering. The boy looked up, seeing me un-invisible for a split second. I ran, my footsteps quiet as I rounded corners. I looked back, he was right there, still following me.
How? No, I just had to get away, I couldn't risk him catching me.
No matter where I went, he was there, on my tail. My invisibility was starting to falter and was taking away a whole bunch of my strength. I still had a headache which did not help. I sighed, there was no point in staying invisible anymore.
I became visible again and kept running.
"Come here!" he said behind me, "Who are you?"
I didn't answer, just kept running.Peter's POV:
"Um... Mr Stark, there's a girl running and I'm following her, who is she?" I said, following the girl while on a quick phone call with him, kind of struggling to keep up.
"What! What does she look like!?" Tony said.
"Um, she has brown curly hair coming to about below her shoulders, she's short, really fast, wearing a dark red shirt and black pants."
"Kid, don't lose her. I'm sending reinforcements now, where are you?"
"I don't know, we bumped into each other, she started running so I followed."
"I'll put the building in lock-down, just don't lose her."
"Yes Mr Stark."
He hung up and I put the phone back in my pocket. Damn, she was fast. I did my best to keep up with her as the lockdown sirens went off. She ran faster and I kept up, panting.
"Wait up!" I tried to tell her, she just ran faster.
She looked back at me and ran faster, trying to shake me. I pushed myself, barely keeping up with her.
"Slow down!" I yelled to her, we rounded the corner and she looked back at me. "Careful!" I told her, slowing down, she turned her head and then slammed into the wall in front of her, falling down, hitting her head against the wall and then the tile.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, but she didn't respond. I decided to call Mr Stark.
"Um, Mr Stark?" I said.
"What is it Peter?"
"'Well, you see-"
"Did you lose her?"
"No, I still have her but um... she ran into a wall and isn't responding now..."
"Okay, where are you?"
"Um... I'm in front of room 526."
"Okay, stay with her, I'm coming."
He hung up and I stared at the girl sprawled out on the floor, she looked so gentle, harmless.
After about 5 minutes, Mr Stark arrived in his whole suit. His mask flipped out.
"Good job kid," He told me.
"Thanks, um, who is she?"
"We think she's the Red Knight but we aren't entirely sure."
I blinked, "THE Red Knight? As in the assassin?" She looked so peaceful, how could she be THE Red Knight
"Yes," he said, bending down and putting handcuffs on her and lifting her up, "Wow, she's light." he remarked.
I looked at her, her hands cuffed and Stark holding her.
"Come on kid, we need to place her somewhere she won't escape again, or kill the guards."
"Y-yes Mr Stark."
"I've got her, she's unconscious," Mr Stark said, clearly not talking to me.
I followed him down the corridors and the alarms turned off shortly after Mr Stark had relayed the message.
We arrived at a door and Mr Stark turned to me.
"You can go back to doing what you were doing kid."
"Can I stay?" I asked, looking at the girl.
"No."
"But I'm the one who told you! I'm the one who found her, why can't I stay?"
"Because, the adults are talking."
"But Mr Stark, I should be allowed to stay! I'm one of you know! Plus, I found her!" I said, using my hands to exaggerate my movements.
"You can stay," a female voice said from behind us. I turned around and saw Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff.
"He's too young Natasha," Mr Stark persisted.
"He's the one who found her Tony, who knows what she would've done if he hadn't found her. Plus, he's 16 and a part of the Avengers."
"Fine." Mr Stark said blatantly.
He opened the door to the room. In there already stood a few people; two black men, both looking young, Captain America and a white guy with black hair and a small mustache.
"Um, isn't Mr Rogers on the other team?" I asked Natasha quietly.
"Just trust me, it's fine right now." Natasha answered quietly.
"You can put her over here," the black man in a suit said, walking through an open door. Tony followed and set her on a chair in the small room before walking back out with the man.
"Before we start I think introductions are in order," Natasha said.
"Good idea," Mr Stark said, sitting down on one of the chairs.
"So, I'm Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow."
"Peter Parker, Spiderman." I said.
"Tony Stark, Ironman."
"James Rhodes, War Machine."
"Steve Rogers, Captain America."
"Bucky Barnes, used to be the Winter Soldier."
"Prince- King T'Challa, Black Panther."
"Why are we here?" James asked. "And why did we just put that girl in there and who is she?"
"Well," Mr Stark said, "I am 95% sure that that is the Red Knight from HYDRA and we are here to discuss what to do with her. Anyone have any ideas?"
"We could try to get some information out of her," Natasha said.
"You won't," Bucky said quietly, looking at his hands, he seemed glum, sad almost, pained, hurt, like he was hiding something.
"And why is that Winter Soldier?" Mr Stark asked harshly.
"I know her," he said.
"And how is that?" Mr Stark asked him.
"He has been to HYDRA Tony," Steve said.
"How do you know her though?" Mr Stark asked.
"She was my cellmate Stark." Bucky said, looking up at him, his eyes looked pained.
"Is there anything you can tell us about her?" King T'Challa asked him.
"She arrived when she was eight months old," He said, his eyes empty, "Often, I couldn't find her in the little cell, she can turn invisible on will, she can make ice, however it takes strength out of her, she has inhuman superspeed, she's quite agile, she's trained in every weapon and martial art known and unknown under the sun, she can hide in plain sight without her abilities, she can speak 564 different languages, understand over 800, write in each of those languages, about 36 different alphabets. She has a high pain tolerance and an extremely sharp mind, she can do any math within seconds along with any other brain questions. She's been taught to manipulate, torture, act frail, disappear in seconds without using her abilities, forge different handwritings, pick locks, escape grips and shackles or chains within seconds, pass lie detectors and block her mind off to mind reading along with countless other things. She was trained to be my right hand soldier but once I disappeared, they probably 'upgraded' her and 'improved'. That means that she may have more abilities and skills I don't know about."
Everyone sat or stood in silence. I decided to try breaking the tension.
"564 different languages? I didn't even know that many existed, much less able to speak that many."
"You and me both, kid," James said, nodding his head towards me. "Now, what do we do when she wakes up?"
"We interrogate her and try to figure something out and what to do with her." Natasha said.
"Okay cause she just started moving." James said. Everyone went and stood or sat in front of the glass window, watching the little assassin. Everyone except for Bucky.
