Hi, guys, I hope all are doing well, enjoy the Update

"Sorry, Shobha," Shourya said with a warm smile, "I thought about calling you, but things got so busy."

"It's okay!" Shobha replied playfully. "So, how's your soon-to-be wife, Jagathi?"

He chuckled, choosing not to respond to her teasing. Instead, he asked, "So, how’s everyone over there?"

"They’re all fine," Shobha replied, though her voice softened as she thought about her sister, Pooja.

Noticing the shift in her tone, Shourya grew concerned. "Shobha, are you alright?"

Shobha hesitated before speaking. "Pooja and Dad came home, and... well, Pooja told Dad she wants to marry you. And Dad actually approached Rajendra Uncle directly about it! Can you believe it?"

"Wait, what?" Shourya said, trying to hold back a laugh. "They went straight to my Dad with that?"

"Shourya, I’m serious!" Shobha exclaimed, but her worry only made him laugh harder.

“Honestly, you should've seen the look on Pooja’s face when she said it!” he joked. "Although maybe I should apologize – I mean, you’ll get mad if I call your sister a ‘comedy piece’.”

“Shourya, I will kill you if you keep saying Pooja loves Vijay!” she snapped, frustration edging her voice.

He raised his hands in mock surrender, a mischievous smile still on his face. "Hey, I’m just saying, it’s pretty obvious. Maybe you should’ve reminded her, 'If you love Vijay, why pretend you’re interested in Shourya?'"

Shobha’s expression darkened, and her voice became solemn. "I don't know why she’s doing this, Shourya. She knows how much I love Vijay – I can’t live without him. It’s like she’s trying to ruin everything between us, and I have no idea why.”

Tears welled in her eyes, and Shourya immediately softened. "Hey, Shobha, please don't cry," he said, his voice gentle. "You think I’d let anyone interfere with my younger brother’s happiness, or my sister-in-law’s? You know me as your friend, I will look after it ."

He ended the call, noticing a new message notification. He opened it, quickly typed out a reply, and then set his phone aside with a sigh.

Vijay was engrossed in paperwork when his phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he lit up and quickly answered, "Bhai! My darling! I miss you so much. How’s my lovely bhabhi?"

“Listen, Vijay," Shourya's tone was serious, "Pooja is coming to our company for an interview. I don’t want her stepping foot in our company, and I’d rather you didn’t meet with her."

Vijay paused, mulling it over. Pooja is Shobha's sister, he thought. Shobha might feel hurt if we’re cold toward her.

“Vijay, are you there?” Shourya asked, pulling him from his thoughts.

“Yes, Bhai,” Vijay replied hesitantly.

“Look, don’t worry about Shobha feeling bad,” Shourya reassured him. “I know her, She understands.”

Vijay smiled, touched by how well his brother could read him. “Bhai, how do you know me so well? You always seem to know what everyone’s feeling.”

Shourya chuckled, “That’s what brothers are for. Take care, Vijay,” he said before ending the call.

Tarun and Taruni, two little kids, peeked through the door, their eyes wide with mischief. Shourya was focused on his laptop, but he noticed them immediately. As soon as he glanced their way, they ducked back out of sight, giggling softly.

He chuckled and returned to his work, pretending he hadn’t seen them.

"Mamu!" they both whispered from behind the door before hiding again, unable to contain their laughter.

“Mamu?” Shourya thought, slightly amused and confused. He set his laptop aside and quietly got up, tiptoeing over to the door. With a quick move, he caught both of them, lifting them in the air as they squealed with laughter.

“Alright, you two troublemakers,” he teased, setting them on the bed. “Who told you to call me ‘Mamu’?”

“Janaki Granny!” they replied in unison, grinning from ear to ear.

He laughed, then began to tickle them mercilessly. They wriggled and laughed uncontrollably, their giggles filling the room.

“Okay, okay, Mamu, stop!” they pleaded between fits of laughter.

••••

Shourya released them with a smile and reached for his laptop. Suddenly, Tarun and Taruni wrapped their little arms around his neck and planted kisses on each of his cheeks.

“So, why are you two sneaking around?” he asked, amused.

“We want ice cream!” they chimed in together, their eyes bright with excitement.

He chuckled. “How about we go out for ice cream later? But for now... would you settle for chocolates?”

Their faces lit up. “Wow, chocolates!” they squealed.

Grinning, he reached into his bag and pulled out two chocolate bars he’d bought for them earlier but had forgotten to give.

“Here you go,” he said, handing them the treats.

They took the chocolates eagerly, each giving him another kiss on the cheek before leaping off the bed and racing out of the room, laughter trailing behind them.

Shourya watched them go, shaking his head with a smile.

As Tarun and Taruni munched happily on their chocolates, Jagathi walked by and noticed.

"Tarun, Taruni, my sweethearts, won’t you share those chocolates with me?” she asked with a playful pout.

The kids quickly hid their chocolates behind their backs. “No! Shourya mamu gave these chocolates to us!” they insisted, clutching the bars tightly.

Jagathi pretended to be offended, crossing her arms. “Oh, so Shourya gives chocolates to everyone but me?” She tapped her foot dramatically, looking from the kids to Shourya's room. "Just wait!" she said with mock indignation, then marched down the hallway.

Shourya! Shourya! Why didn’t you get chocolates for me too?” she called, her voice carrying a hint of playful accusation.

•••

Shourya raised his hands in mock surrender, grinning, “Sorry! I don’t have any chocolates left!”

Jagathi marched up to him, her eyes narrowing playfully. Without warning, she gave him a light slap on the nose. “You! Mr. Shourya! Don’t talk to me anymore!” she huffed, turning on her heel with exaggerated anger.

Shourya stood there for a moment, blinking in surprise, before a chuckle escaped him. Oh God, she’s crazy, he thought, shaking his head with a smile.

Keep smiling
God bless you
