Hello everyone,

As I've been revisiting some of my older stories, one in particular has stood out to me more than others: Lincoln in Equestria. This project has always been a labor of love, and it means a great deal to me. However, after taking some time to reflect on its development and the feedback I've received, I feel it's important to be transparent about my thoughts and my plans moving forward.

First and foremost, I want to be honest about how I feel regarding the current direction of the story. Looking back, I realize that I didn't portray Lincoln in the best light, especially in his interactions with Sunset Shimmer, Celestia etc. Instead of fostering a meaningful connection between them, I unintentionally made Lincoln come across as unlikable and disconnected. As a result, this detracted from the overall experience, and I don't want that. I want readers to root for Lincoln, to understand his struggle and growth, and to truly care about his journey. This is something I'm determined to rectify, and I will be revisiting his character with the intention of making him more relatable, likable, and grounded in the story.

Another area I've been thinking about is the introduction of Death as a side antagonist, inspired by Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. While I appreciate the concept and the potential of this character, I now see that his role in the story felt somewhat forced and underdeveloped. I didn't take the time to fully flesh out his motivations or why he was a relevant figure to the plot. Moving forward, I want to ensure that every character, including the antagonists, is given the necessary development and backstory to feel meaningful and integral to the narrative. I believe this will help create a more cohesive and engaging story, where every element serves a clear purpose.

One character that I particularly want to revisit is Discord. I initially made the choice to portray him in a more serious, subdued light, stepping away from his usual playful and chaotic antics. However, after reflecting on it, I now realize that his quirky, unpredictable nature is one of the defining aspects of who he is. Discord's chaos brings a unique dynamic to the world of Equestria, and I want to recapture that energy. Additionally, I neglected to explore his backstory-how he came to adopt Lincoln as a baby and the circumstances surrounding that decision. This backstory has the potential to add so much depth to their relationship and the overall narrative, and I plan to delve into it more in the reboot.

I also want to spend more time developing Sunset Shimmer's character, particularly her past. Her struggles with being kicked out by Princess Celestia because of her cutie mark, her rebellious nature, and the emotional baggage she carries are all critical elements of her story. I feel I didn't give these aspects of her character the attention they deserve, and as a result, her growth throughout the story didn't feel as impactful as it could have been. By exploring her backstory more thoroughly, I hope to help readers better empathize with her journey, her flaws, and her ultimate transformation.

With all of this in mind, I've made the decision to embark on a full reboot of Lincoln in Equestria. I'm excited to revisit the story with fresh ideas, more character depth, and a renewed sense of purpose. My goal is to create a version of the story that resonates more deeply with readers, one where every character and every plot point has been carefully thought out and executed. I believe this will ultimately make for a richer and more engaging experience, and I can't wait to share the new version with all of you.

Also, if there's anything you think I should add, remove, or adjust, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Your feedback and ideas are incredibly valuable to me, and I want to ensure that this story resonates with you all in the best way possible. Whether it's a character development suggestion, a plot twist you'd like to see, or any aspect of the worldbuilding that could be expanded upon, I'm open to hearing what you envision for the story.

Collaborating with you, the readers, is something I deeply appreciate, and I truly believe that your input will help shape a version of Lincoln in Equestria that's even more engaging, dynamic, and enjoyable. This is a story that I've poured my heart into, and I want it to be something that not only I'm proud of but that you, as part of this community, feel connected to as well.

So, don't hesitate to share your ideas, whether big or small-I'm all ears, and I'm excited to bring your suggestions into the narrative as we move forward with this reboot!

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. I'm looking forward to the next chapter in Lincoln in Equestria, and I hope you are too.
