Rain. I like rain. When it hits my face and rolls down my cheeks. It's raining right now. Where am I? "I... I thought... I thought you... you loved me?" Oh, right.

Somewhere near Toronto

Very far in the future

Jasper Sparrow was born a normal boy. With normal orange hair and normal blue eyes. He grew up pretty normal, until he met Xane. Grade eight, Haldwin Public Middle. The new boy with curly white hair and big dark eyes. Jasper couldn't stop staring at him. The robotic teacher introduced him in her usual cold tone "Everyone welcome Xane", Chatter exploded through the room. Jasper's friend Orion punched his arm, "look at his hair" He mumbled. Jasper heard some girls whisper behind him, "He's so skinny, do you think he's homeless or something?"

It wasn't uncommon for children to be on the smaller side in this economy, but Xane was different. You could see his ribs through the loose white shirt he was wearing. Jasper wanted to yell at those girls for saying that, but he couldn't ruin his reputation. Xane was sat in the spot between Jasper and the window he usually stares out of.

The teacher shushed the class and continued droning on about algebra or something, but Jasper wasn't listening, he was too busy staring at Xane. The way his eyebrows furrowed, the way his hair shifted everytime he moved, the way his lips parted so perfectly. The teacher slapped a piece of paper on Jasper's desk. A review test? Shouldn't be too hard. Jasper thought to himself.

The teacher finished handing out the papers and rolled back to the front of the class, "Does anybody want to help Xane go over the test?" She said. Jasper shot his hand up as fast as he could. "Jasper," The teacher said, "You two may go out to the hall,"

Xane followed Jasper to a quiet corner in the hallway. "This is algebra right?" Xane squeaked. His voice was soft and weak, Jasper loved it, "Uh, yeah," "It's okay, I already know algebra anyways" Xane replied. Xane worked on the paper while Jasper stared at him, daydreaming of picking him up, which was probably possible, and carrying him away.

Xane looked up, "Are you staring at me?" he whispered, "Wuh- No!" Jasper blurted and looked away, trying to hide the blush that spread across his face. Xane smirked and continued on the paper. Jasper realized he had to do his paper too. If x equals 15 and y equals 4 what is the answer to 3x - (40 / 5y) it 43 obviously. Jasper thought, but his mind always led back to Xane. He barely knew him and he was already obsessed. Jasper has had crushes before, but never like this.

The bell rang for second period and Xane got up. "Wait!" Jasper yelped, "Would you, uh want to go to my house tonight?" There was a long pause. "Sure," Xane replied before disappearing. "I- didn't even tell you where my house is..." Jasper muttered.

The day went by as slow as possible. When the final bell rang at 3:30 Jasper sprinted out of the building, and found Xane on the courtyard. "Hello," Xane said. "Hi! It's- this way" Jasper responded, before pulling Xane in the direction of his house. It was the longest five minute walk Jasper had ever been on. Xane was listening to music with old wired headphones the whole time. Those headphones had to be ancient.

They finally got to Jasper's tiny house. It was a weird oval - cylinder shape, made of gray concrete and vines growing up the walls, like every other house in the neighborhood. Jasper opened the door and pulled Xane in with him. "This is... my house," He said. The door opened to a small kitchen with minimal decoration. "It's kinda boring, I know... Do you want something to eat?" Jasper asked, "No, thanks" Xane responded. "Oh, okay. We could watch something?" Jasper suggested, "Sure" Xane replied.

Xane followed Jasper into his room. It was similar to the rest of the house, Grey with a few hints of personality. His bed was well made and a flat screen tv hung on the wall. Jasper sat on the bed and put on a random show he had been watching. Xane sat on the floor, he focused intently on the tv screen. Jasper didn't care what was happening in the show, he was focused on Xane. Jasper zoned out and didn't realize Xane was staring back at him, and moving closer. By the time Jasper had snapped out of it Xane's face was inches from his. Jasper blushed and turned his head back.

IcantdothisIcantdothisIcantdothis Jasper thought. Xane scooted onto the bed beside Jasper and rested his head on Jasper's shoulder. There was a long pause. "We should kiss," Xane proposed. "Should... we?" Jasper responded. "If you're okay with it," Xane said. He lifts his head off Jasper's shoulder. "Maybe I... am okay with it" Jasper turns to face Xane, Their faces inches apart. Xane grabs the back of Jasper's head and pushes him in, closing the gap. It felt like he was floating away. Nothing mattered anymore. It was just Jasper and Xane together for all eternity. Shitshitshitshitshit Jasper thinks. He pulls back "ImsorryIdidntwantyoutonotlikemeorsomting butIgotcarriedawa-" Xane pulls Jasper back in, this time more passionately. Xane wrapped his free hand around Jasper's waist. Jasper rested his ands on the bed, not knowing what to do. Xane broke the kiss to catch his breath. "That was... my first kiss" Jasper says, breathily. "I could tell," Xane responds.

Xane laid down on the bed, resting his head in Jasper's lap. Jasper moved his hands, not to disturb Xane, Just staring at him.
