"Kyomi-chan, what's up?" Chuuya asked with concern.

"Kouyou-neechan! Look at Kouyou-neechan, Chuu-nii!" Kyomi cried.

"What's wrong with Ane-san?" Chuuya stepped into the room to see Kouyou lying on the ground. She had been stabbed in the abdomen multiple times.

"Oh god..." Chuuya held onto Kyomi tight. "Shh.... It will be fine Kyomi-chan..."

---

Kouyou stirred from her slumber, her senses awakening slowly. The darkness pressed in all around her, thick and suffocating. Suddenly, a familiar voice pierced through the quiet.

"Kouyou-neechan! Chuu-nii, Kouyou-neechan is awake! She's awake!"

"Kyomi-chan? Is that you?" Kouyou strained to see, but all that greeted her was darkness.

"Yeah, duh, who else?" Kyomi's voice chirped back with relief and excitement.

Just then, another voice broke through, laced with concern. "She's awake? Ane-san, are you alright?" It was Chuuya, his tone tight and worried.

Kouyou took a shaky breath, the pain from her injury piercing through her. "Chuuya-kun... yes, but I cannot see, and I am afraid I won't be able to live with this injury..." Her words came out weak, almost a whisper.

"Hey, hey... you aren't kidding, are you?" Chuuya's voice trembled with a mix of disbelief and fear.

"No, but... Chuuya-kun." She reached out, her trembling hand finding and weakly grasping his wrist. "I want you to take care of your younger sister. I might die at any moment, and I am too wounded to look after her."

"You want me to take care of Kyomi-chan?!" he exclaimed.

"Yes..." Kouyou breathed, her voice barely audible.

"I- I don't know if Dazai will want to..." Chuuya's voice faltered.

"I am sure your husband will love her as if she were his own sister," she reassured him, a faint smile on her lips despite the circumstances.

"Nah, he will probably try to get her to think that he is her father or something," Chuuya replied, a hint of amusement breaking through his worry.

"Oh, well, that is even better, is it not?" Kouyou's smile widened slightly.

"Uhm... well, I will ask him about it. And if Dazai says no, I'll ask, uh, Tachihara to take care of her," he promised, determination flickering to life within him.

"Alright. I will let you go then. Take Kyomi-chan with you," Kouyou said softly.

As soon as Chuuya stepped through the front door of his and Dazai's home, a familiar warmth enveloped him. Dazai, with playful energy, darted over to him, planting a quick peck on his cheek.

"My beautiful Chuuya! Who is this young lady?" he asked with a mischievous grin, his dark eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"This is my younger sister, Kyomi..." Chuuya replied, gesturing towards the shy girl beside him.

"You have a sister?" Dazai's voice held genuine surprise, mingled with delight.

"I'm sorry... I didn't tell you..." Chuuya murmured.

"No, no, it's perfectly fine!" Dazai exclaimed. "How old are you?"

Kyomi shivered, the tall man was intimidating. "S-s-six..."

Dazai kneeled to meet Kyomi's eye level. He gently took her small hand in his, his smile softening. "Six! Such a big girl! Come on, Kyomi-chan, do you like chocolate?"
