Sinister night

A.D 's POV

This is quite interesting. I thought to myself while observing Claire, the receptionist at Wonder Hotel. I could easily tell that she was checking me out. Now, what can I do when they come and fall in my lap to let me use them properly? Today she is going to be the one then. It's alright; she has quite a large amount of spiritual energy.

"My lady, I think we can spend some time somewhere all alone together to know each other, can't we?" I whispered in her ear, to which she smiled and bit her lower lip.

"let's go." She held my hand and took me inside somewhere in the storeroom maybe. Not a good place for my liking but I don't have many choices.

I dragged her more deep inside the room and pushed her against the wall. Ok, it's gonna be okay.

I placed my hand on her forehead and sucked all her spiritual energy. I took my time, it's not like she could do anything. She is in a deep sombre having a dream or, more like a memory on screen, rolling pictures of the past.

Oh god, I hate it when I have to take care of their body. No, they are not dead, just unconscious. I laid her down outside of door for someone to see her. At the end of the corridor, I saw a camera.

Arhgg lots of work. I wanna go home and sleep. I deleted myself from the footage, and Phew, it's all done.

Cherry would be waiting for me.

I should ask someone to change this fucking door. Making lots of noise in the middle of the night. This is just a temporary place to live until my mission is over here. I want to go to my home as soon as possible, just a few more days and I am gone then.

As I stepped on the first step of the stairs to go to the first floor, it made some creaking sounds. God damn it. I hate it. I stealthily reached the last step trying to make no more noise. The hallway was so dark that no lights were on. I should put a bulb here for others even though I can see, but they can't. Those creatures are too weak and idiot, and here I am stuck with them in this world.

"Who the hell is out there?" Cherry demanded an answer. I could sense it in her voice.

"It's just me," I replied.

I felt something is wrong.

There was an eerie silence in air and we both knew what it was. Crickets stopped making noise outside, and it was a clear answer to this nerve-racking silence.

That thing is passing by.

Cherry was quiet, and I stopped walking, too. Air was now filled with a rotten smell like decaying several bodies. It felt like a long time, I held my breath when I heard rustling near the front door, and then it fell spine-chilling silent.

My heartbeat was raging inside my chest, hurting like hell. I could feel my palms sweating so much. Crickets started singing again telling us that that sinister thing was gone.

I heard footsteps running towards my direction, and soon I was engulfed by scared and shaking cherry. I hugged her tightly patting her back and soothing her. I was scared, too; that thing was just too sinister.

This night is dreadful and menacing.

Tic Tic. The clock started ticking, and soon the night was gone, leaving behind fear in our hearts. We need to leave this world as soon as possible. I didn't sign up for this. That old man gave me a scary mission in the name of a vacation-type mission. I am gonna kill that old bastard.

This time I will throw my resignation letter in his face with a kick on his ass, show a middle finger to those old bosses and then hide in Azeroth. That planet is lit.

Fuck you bitches. I ain't going down.
