Akriti entered the room, her eyes scanning the empty space. Avinash was nowhere to be found, and a pang of sadness settled in. She sat on the bed, lost in her phone, before drifting off to sleep.

At 2 a.m., Avinash slipped into the room, his gaze falling on Akriti's peaceful form. She had sprawled across the bed, her limbs splayed like a starfish. A gentle smile crept onto his face.  "abhi bhi bacchi hai"  he whispered, his eyes twinkling with affection.

( She's still a child )

Avinash carefully pulled a pillow from the bed and settled onto the couch, sacrificing comfort for Akriti's sake.

The next morning, Akriti woke to find Avinash on the couch.  "Ab kya inhe mere sath sone me bhi problem hai?" she wondered, a hint of sadness creeping in.

( Does he have a problem sleeping beside me now? )

A/N-: Agar ea side mai so jate to bhi kalesh hote bechare Avinash 😭

Shrugging off the doubt, Akriti went to washroom began her morning routine. She emerged from the closet, stunning in a red saree, her hair wrapped in a white towel. Avinash's sleep was disrupted by the bathroom door's creak, but he feigned sleep.

As Akriti removed the towel, and flipped her hairs, few droplets of water danced onto Avinash's face, rousing him. His eyes widened, drinking in the sight of her blouse, its two delicate ribbons teasing him "Avinash no no control control yourself" he murmured

He sprang from the couch, his fingers instinctively reaching for the vermilion. He got up from the bed hurriedly and went to her  and gently filled Akriti's hairline showing his right, his touch sending shivers down her spine.

"Ye saree pahane bilkul acchi nahi lag rahi ho, jao kuch aur pehen ke ao)"

( This saree doesn't suit you; wear something else )

Avinash beat a hasty retreat into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. His heart galloped like a runaway rollercoaster.
"Kitni ossum lag rahi thi yarr... Mai kya pagal dikta hu jo apni biwi ko aise blouse pahene sabke samne Jane du, han? Usko waise sirf mai hi dek sakta hu aur koi nahi"

( How stunning she looked! Am I crazy to let my wife wear such a blouse in front of others? Only I should see her like this, no one else. )

Avinash's face burned with a fierce blush, his thoughts consumed by the vision of Akriti's beauty.

Akriti glided downstairs, her simple sky-blue saree accentuating her stunning beauty. Avinash, engrossed in his laptop, looked up, and their eyes locked. Time stood still. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them suspended in a sea of silence.

Avinash's sister, Sristhi, interrupted the spell, her voice chiming in over the phone. "Bhai Bhai, ap hain? Ahm ahm.. Lagta hai samne bhabi khadi hai" She giggled.

( Bhai, Bhai, are you there? Ah, I think your wife is standing in front of you! )

Avinash's gaze lingered on Akriti before he replied, "Ja chup chap apna kam kar, and jaldi se ghar aja fir dekta hu tujhe" The call ended abruptly.

( Just focus on your work and come home quickly )

An hour passed, and Avinash's mother summoned everyone for breakfast. The table was laden with an array of delicacies: crispy puris, flavorful aloo ki sabji, and bread with a sunny-side-up egg. The family gathered around, eager to savor Akriti's culinary creations.

Avinash's grandmother beamed with pride, thrilled to have their grand-daughter-in-law cook for them. His parents exchanged warm smiles, clearly delighted.
