Humans and demons...

Demons are ruthless, cruel creatures that kill and devour humans. They have super human powers and can fully regenerate. The only things that can kill them are if you decapitate them with a nichirin sword or they get exposed to sunlight. Some humans fight back and protect others. A secret organisation called 'The demon slayer corp' was made not too long after the first demon made it's appearence: Muzan Kibutsuji. All demon slayers dispise him, for he is still alive after over a thousand years and rules over all other demons, in other words, he's the demon king. He's a cruel and mercyless king who punishes demons who disobey him. Punishment is almost always death, except for the Uppermoon. Uppermoons are part of the twelve kizuki, a group of the twelve strongest demons after him. Lowermoons are the weaker six and often get killed by Hashiras or high ranking slayers. However, the Uppermoons are incredibly strong, so strong that none has died or been replaced in a hundred years.

Recently though, a fourth specie appeared that not many know of: 'Good demons'. These are demons that are free from Kibutsuji's curse. They either sleep to gain energy and strength, or rely on very little amount of human blood. You could call them vampires, really. These 'good demons' also have a demon king. His name is Sanemi Shinazugawa. He's only twenty-one years old and a hothead but unlike Kibutsuji, he's not as ruthless and mercyless with his demons. Because of this, they also tend to call each other family.

These demons only recently came to appearence, though there was actually only two good demons before. Now there are around fifty good demons. Lady Tamayo has one of the most impotant roles because she was the one to made the first ever good demon and after herself: Yushiro, her assistant. They're like a secret organisation working only at night time. The 'redeemed' demons turn people close to death into non-hostile demons; if they agree to it of course. 

They also have a similar system to the 'Twelve Kizuki' system, but they're called the 'Twelve Jikeidan'in'. Higherstars and Lowerstars.
