P.S. thanks for reading"If you do not marry soon, I am afraid we will have to strip you of the title 'clan leader.'" The elders words hit Byakuya like a train, he had been expecting this sooner or later, truthfully, his heart died, died when he lost the one he loved most - his wife, he did love his younger sister, but it would never fill the large void left by Hisana. "You may continue, so why is this?" He asked respectfully, as another elder spoke up, in a stern tone, "Yes, we are aware that Rukia is adopted, so her offspring with your lieutenant wouldn't be suitable to be a clan leader. And if you were to not have an Heir soon, there is a risk of the clan dying out." He knew the truth in his words, but he couldn't shake the slight annoyance he felt as they continued the meeting, sharing inportant pieces of information.
That afternoon, writing paperwork, he still couldn't shake the feeling of irritation off of himself as he thought, he sighed, thinking in annoyance 'What do I lose but problems...' he knew he had to obey their wishes, but something in him felt the need to scream at them, yell at them, tell them to shut it, being the aristocratic Captain and clan leader was tiring sometimes.Placing down the quill, he neatly arranged his paperwork, before standing up onto his feet. He walked through the door, walking through the sakura forests in the clan gardens, something he only did while stressed, the peacefulness of nature always calmed his nerves. The pink sakura blossoms started to fall onto his face, his dark black locks blowing with the wind, the quiet whispers of the trees flowing providing a tranquil sense. He loved nature, it was one of the very few things he cherished in life, slowly walking, a light sound of the grass crunching under his feet loudening, staring up at the trees, just thinking. 'This area has always been beautiful...'
As he walked, basking in the glow of the sunset shining onto his face through the trees, he heard another crushing of grass behind him, turning around, he spoke "Who is it." It was nothing, weirdly, he felt a swift motion in front of him, a flash of a woman. He couldn't catch who it was, it was probably one of the Rukongai kids attempting to play a trick on him, not until he saw one of his 3 kenseikan gone.
He looked around, slightly annoyed and confused - Who was able to catch him off guard like this, and more importantly, where was that heirloom? It had been in his family for centuries and if that was lost he would 100% be cast out. As he searched around the forest, the most he could catch was an navy-blue-haired woman who was holding a small crossbody handmade sack, tightening it, giving him one last glance, the woman disappeared into the gardens.
He tried to use Shunpo to move forward and catch up with her, but she was already gone, so he stopped, looking forward to where she left, he realised she had stolen one of the most valuable items in the seireitei, and gotten away with it. 'No, no, she couldn't have,' He thought worriedly, running a hand through his hair, as he looked down, maybe he had dropped it? Nope, he didn't. And at that very moment, he knew
He was screwed.
No matter where he looked, the third piece of kenseikan worn by the clan heads were gone. Who was this mystery woman? And what was she gonna do with his heirloom?
As he got home, all he could think about was that woman, nothing else, it was stressing him so badly. What were the elders going to think? They've already reprimanded him once that day, he had to stay level headed, if he freaked out he'd be in deep shit...
