Burning woods

It was now 6pm. Chloe and her mom were now walking back to the house with a wagon behind them to hold all the groceries. They're feet making crunching noises in the snow by the soft boots. Chloe was starting to get tired by all the walking and keeping seeing the tree by the tree she went by, still not seeing her home yet. "Mommy, are we there yet?" Ruby stayed silent, She hasn't been to Chloe since they checked out the food. She turned her head, now realizing her daughter asked a question. "We will be there soon Chloe. You just have to be patient. How about we talk for a little bit?" Chloe groaned, put her head down, and stopped walking. "But we have been walking forever!" "That doesn't mean you start to complain about it!" Said Ruby was trying not to yell, "Couldn't we drive in a car?" The mother started at Chloe with a strict look on her face. Acting like Chloe offending her. "Chloe....I know I am trying to get a car. But I can't right now, because of you, George, Bills, and Food, Buying a car isn't on my list right now." Ruby walked past Chloe. "Hey wait for me!" Chloe picked up the handle and started to walk beside her mom. Ruby felt very cold by standing way too long in the woods With Chloe staring at the snow. "Hey Mommy?" Chloe finally said breaking the silence. "Yes Chloe?" "Well, Do you ever feel like someone is watching you? From a far distance away?" Ruby felt chills then looked behind her. But all there was just trees covered in snow and the dark blue sky now becoming dark. "Not really...Why?" "Because I can't sleep very well.." Chloe played with her Red necklace. Ruby still wondered where that came from. Now looking at it, it reminded her of something, But she couldn't think of it at the moment. "Chloe. Where did you really find that necklace?" Chloe's little nose wigged, so did her ears. "What do you mean? I already told you, My jewelry box." Ruby touch her chest. She did not feel right being around that red crystal. "I don't remember that one being there... Did a friend give it to you?" Chloe smiled and looked at her necklace again and said, "Uhh..Yes! My friend gave it to me." "Annabelle gave that, to you?" "Yes?" Ruby raised an eyebrow, Still having a feeling Chloe is lying to her. "Oh! Okay I just wanted to make sure. It is very pretty though." "I know, that's why I wear it now!" Just as both of the Bunnies were done with their conversation the house started to become visible. "Look! Mommy! I see the house!" "I see it too." Ruby looked at the sky, it was darker than before. "Oh my, It's really dark out here. We better get in before it's your bedtime. I have to put away all these groceries." Chloe's smile faded away and her mouth became dry. "Wait- I'm gonna have to go to bed early?!" "Yes Chloe. you have school tomorrow. And you need good sleep to wake up in the morning." Ruby and Chloe came to the door. Ruby got her keys out of her pockets, and tried to find the right key to unlock it. "Can't I just stay up a little longer?" Said chloe as she walked into the house. Ruby got all the groceries out of the waggon  and put them on the table. "Chloe I said no." "It's not fair! You get to stay up all you want! Meanwhile i have to go to sleep at 8:00!" "Chloe, I have you know that I am very, very tired once I get everything cleaned up. I would love to sit down, but i have to do all of this first! So please, do sit down." Chloe crossed her arms. "Fine Mommy..." "Good." Chloe walked to the hook and put her jacket up, then put her boots in the cubby. "Mommy I'm hungry. Can I have something to eat?" "I will make dinner after I put all of THIS away. And didn't I tell you to go into the living room and sit?" "I was putting my stuff away." "Alright. Now go sit down..." Chloe went into the living room. "Where is the TV remote?" Chloe found the Tv remote beside the window. "Found it! Wait, I don"t know how to work this. George!!! Can you help with something?" (Lets not forget his existence) George was writing something in his notebook. There was no light except his lamp on his desk . "George!!!" "What?!" "Come down here! I want you to help me with something!!" "What is it?!" "TV!!" "George. Can you help her? I'm doing something right now."

George came down stairs and walked straight into the living room. "What do you wanna watch?" "My little pony!" "Alright. give me the remote."  George was turning channels until he got to 93.0. "It will turn on after this commercial. Need anything else?" "No."
