They sat in silence for a moment, the air between them charged with something unspoken. Finally, Lando shifted, pulling back slightly but keeping his hand near hers. “So,” he said casually, “what are you doing next weekend?”

Sabrina blinked, surprised by the abrupt change in topic. “Why? Planning another surprise party for me?”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “Not this time. I was thinking… Monaco. It’s race weekend, and I can invite whoever I want.... so I thought you might want to come?”

Her eyebrows shot up. “You’re inviting me to Monaco?”

“Yeah,” he replied, his voice nonchalant, but the look in his eyes hinted at something more. “I mean, no pressure. But I figured you’d enjoy it....good weather, fast cars, and I hear the company’s pretty good too.”

Sabrina tilted her head, studying him for a beat. “Is this your way of impressing me?”

“Is it working?” he asked with a sly grin.

She laughed softly, shaking her head. “You’re ridiculous.”

“Take that as a yes,” he teased, leaning back with a smirk. “Just think about it, alright? You’d have fun. I promise.”

She didn’t respond immediately, letting the offer sink in. The idea of spending time with him again, of stepping into his world, even just for a weekend, was tempting. But she wasn’t about to let him see how much she was already considering it.

“Alright,” she said finally, keeping her tone light. “I’ll think about it.”

“That’s all I’m asking,” he replied, standing up and stretching. “I should probably head out before I overstay my welcome.”

She walked him to the door, the cool night air brushing past as she opened it. Lando paused before stepping out, turning back to face her. “Thanks for tonight,” he said quietly. “I needed it.”

“Me too,” she replied, offering him a small smile.

He hesitated for a second before leaning in to place a quick kiss on her cheek. It was brief, almost casual, but it left her heart pounding. “Goodnight, Sabrina,” he said, stepping back with a playful grin. “Don’t forget about Monaco.”

“Goodnight, Norris” she said, watching him walk down the hallway. She closed the door behind her, leaning against it for a moment as her fingers brushed the spot where his lips had been. A smile tugged at her lips, and for the first time in a while, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something exciting was just around the corner.
