Ned had devised a foolish plan to honor Robert's dying wish, only for him to be betrayed by none other than Littlefinger. Now all chaos has broken and now, the Starks are now the prey, hunted by the lions.

(Y/n) pushes and moves past the wary citizens as he follows a trail he can see, somehow the footprints are blue, no one else can see them it seems. The footprints were small, Arya's it seems, he follows them out to the stables, and could smell the blood from the back end, and voices.

"There she is."

"What do you want?"

"I want you, wolf girl. Come here."

"Leave me be. My father's a lord. He'll reward you.."

"She'll reward me, the Queen!" Hearing the panic, (Y/n) quickly went around the corner to help Arya, but it seemed it wasn't needed. The boy yanked Arya and in response she drove Needle into his gullet, the boy gripped the blade but only in dying weakness, as he collapsed on the ground.

Arya looked up to (Y/n), who calmly approaches, she stepped back, needle in hand. "S-Stay back!" She demanded and he did, he put his hands up, "I'm not here to hurt you, I promise!" He says.

"What about Syrio? Lannister men killed him!" She was hurt, afraid, (Y/n) sadly nodded. "I.. expected such.. you have to leave Arya... it's not safe here." He explained, she slowly lowers needle. "Leave the Red Keep, they already have Sansa.. but I promise I'll do what I can to protect her."

Arya hesitated but agreed, "Do you promise?" She whispered, and he walked over and offered his hand to shake, "I promise." Arya shook his hand, her grip wasn't elegant either, pretty tough, he watched her rush off away. (Y/n) hoped that wouldn't be the last time he saw her, one day had passed since the betrayal and Lord Stark laid upon in the black cells, pure darkness, the stench of cold metal and rank filled the cells, Ned's eyes had adjusted to the darkness but a faint light was slowly creeping up in the corner he turned and saw the flame was from a torch, and the torch was from (Y/n), who snuck in. He knelt down to face Lord Stark.

"Lord Stark." He whispered, and offered a water skin, Ned just stared at him, and (Y/n) sighed.

"I promise you, I'm not trying to poison you." he said, and drinks from it to prove it, he hands it to Ned who quickly drinks and takes it.

"What about my daughters?" Ned asked, and he leaned in a bit closer. "I.. helped Arya escape, she's not in The Red Keep.." he said, a feeling of Relief washed over Ned

".. Thank you, And Sansa?" He asked, and (Y/n) looked reluctant to admit

"Lady Sansa is still engaged to cousin, they're not going to let her out of their sight, especially now that Arya is gone. But that reminds me.." he started and finally showed emotion.

"What lapses of sanity led you to tell Aunt Cersei you had learned the truth about Joffrey's birth?" He chastised Ned, who didn't really have much leg to argue with.

"The madness of mercy. That she might save her children." Ned says, and (Y/n) scoffs.

"Mercy.. there is no Mercy when it comes to my family. You may be a wolf, but once you came to kings landing you entered a Nest of Vipers. You do understand you're a dead man, Lord Eddard?" (Y/n) shook his head. And Ned was more confident.

"The Queen can't kill me. Cat holds her brother, your father." Ned takes another drink of the skin and (Y/n) sits down.

"If that were true... she'd be elated to hear of his death, but My father has escaped Lady Cat." (Y/n) said, "Varys had given me the good news but.. I suppose it's not good for you." He muttered, Ned realized that it was over, that this is the end.
