The late hour was shrouded in a quiet unease as Seungcheol stood behind the bar, staring at the empty glass that once held the remnants of Jisoo's beer. The club was quieter now, the music had softened to a low hum, and most of the patrons had dispersed, leaving only a few lingering conversations. His fingers drummed nervously on the counter, his gaze flickering around the room.
Where had Jisoo gone?
Seungcheol's mind raced, wondering how his friend had slipped away unnoticed. The fact that Jisoo had left all of his belongings—his coat, his phone, even his wallet—behind on the barstool only deepened his unease. It wasn't like Jisoo to vanish without a trace. Not when the club was so busy, not when they had been talking just moments before.
"Where did he go...?" Seungcheol muttered under his breath, though he knew he wasn't going to get an answer tonight. He had tried calling Jisoo multiple times, but the phone just went to voicemail each time. With a resigned sigh, he pushed the phone back into his pocket, hoping his worries were for nothing. Maybe Jisoo had simply left, gone home early, and left the club without telling him. That could be the case, right?
But still... the nagging sense of something wrong wouldn't leave him. Jisoo had been attacked before—multiple times, actually. Seungcheol knew Jisoo's family had enemies, and his anxiety always spiked when he couldn't keep an eye on his friend.
After a few moments, Seungcheol's worry overcame him. He made his way toward the exit, glancing over his shoulder to make sure everything was in order. No sign of Jisoo.
He couldn't shake the feeling. Something wasn't right.
The next morning, chaos stirred within the Hong enterprise.
Seungcheol had barely settled into his desk when the call came in. It was from Mr. Hong. His boss.
The voice on the other end was stern, but there was a hint of worry beneath it. "Choi, where did Jisoo last go?"
Seungcheol straightened at the sound of Jisoo's name, his heart pounding in his chest. The question itself felt unsettling, and the anxiety he had suppressed the night before began to bubble up again.
"Mr. Hong," Seungcheol started carefully, his voice steady. "Jisoo came to meet me at the bar last night. We had a drink. But after that... I couldn't find him. He disappeared."
Mr. Hong's sharp intake of breath was audible through the phone. The voice of the normally composed CEO of Hong Enterprises now sounded almost panicked. "He was at a bar? That's... not like him. He never goes to places like that."
Seungcheol exhaled slowly, shaking his head. "I know, but that's not the important thing right now. I couldn't reach him after that. I've been trying to contact him all morning, but..."
He didn't need to finish the sentence. The implication hung heavily between them.
Mr. Hong fell silent for a long moment, the quiet tension stretching between them. Seungcheol knew he was processing everything, weighing the importance of his son's disappearance.
Finally, Mr. Hong spoke again, his tone much colder now. "I'm afraid, Choi. I can't reach him either."
Seungcheol's stomach churned. The knot of fear that had been tightening in his chest all morning only grew worse.
"I'll contact someone skilled," Mr. Hong continued, his voice now sharp with authority. "I'll have Jisoo tracked down."
"Hyung I swear am scared Jisoo Hyung doesn't ", Hansol- Jisoo's secretary said to Seungcheol who scoffed at his stupidity of not protecting his friend. "CCTV of every corner was checked Hansol still there's no trace. not even in one, I saw Jisoo leaving the bar", Seungcheol said as he tossed around restless.
"Don't worry we shall track him down", Hansol said and Seungcheol calmed down but the inner turmoil inside his head was still present.
