What the fuck.

"They told me they were taking me to my grandparents house while they went of vacation..?" you paused as you watched your parents car drive away, ultimately leaving you sat on a freezing cold pavement near the road with nothing but a stuffed animal and the stuff you had packed to take to your grandparents house, "surely it wasn't legal or even safe to leave a child by themselves, on the side of the road, in the freezing cold??!! what where they even thinking?? why would they do this..?" as your thoughts began to spiral, you snapped out of it for a short second.

A car on the road near by just zoomed by without a care in the world, everything seemed hopeless right now, it was cold, you'd just been told to get out of the car and abandoned without another word and all seemed hopeless, your eyes flickered around aimlessly hoping someone, anyone, would come and help you.

Awhile had past and no one had spoken to you, people walked and drove past but nobody asked if you were okay, they probably just thought you were just chilling there, oh how you wish they would've stopped to ask if you were alright, even if it was some random stranger that you could grasp onto the attention of, but no.. no one.

You sat and sat for what felt like hours on this freezing cold pavement, tears started to well up in your eyes and you're eyes and you start to shake even more than you already were before, your hands were starting to turn blue from the sheer low temperature in the air. It really was hopeless.

Jschlatt was just walking around the block on his way to 7/11 to buy some batteries and what not, when suddenly his curiosity was spiked by what was seemingly a kid who looked no older than 13 sat alone on the pavement. He stared ahead blankly for a few moments while actually debating whether or not to go and see if they were okay. I mean surely a kid that young shouldn't be sat alone on the pavement like that, especially not in this weather, right?? but at the same time, it also wasn't really any of his business.

"But what if it was?" he thought to himself. Something really felt off here especially considering the kid looked so young, and it was infact really cold, surely no kid would voluntarily choose to sit out here in this whether, Schlatt has been stood on a walk way lost in his own thoughts for so long that he hadn't even realised that he had just been stood there staring for however long he'd been staring, he wasn't actually snapped out of his trance until a youngish man shoved him out of the way on the walk way and said "watch it old man!". Schlatt, who was infact only 23 was mildly offended by the actions of the young gentleman, but he had bigger things to worry about right now..

After a few more seconds of internal debate Schlatt decides to take action here "better to be safe than sorry" he thought to himself before approaching the part of the pavement where the small child was sat by themselves.

You sat on the curb feeling ultimately miserable and useless but then, as if a spark of hope, you could here footsteps behind you, getting closer and closer until they eventually stopped.

"you alright, kid?"
