"Necessity binds us to paths we never imagined, and in those bindings, we find the choices that will define us."

The evening light pours in, casting long shadows across the room. Outside, the sky transforms into a kaleidoscope of warm colors-orange, yellow, and pink-as the sunset fades into twilight. The world outside seems to pause, taking a deep breath before the quiet darkness of night descends.

Sania remains silent, her eyes fixed on an invisible point. She is at a loss for words, uncertain of how to reply to him. Maybe he has already discerned the truth, and that's why he poses another question, probing deeper into her memories.

"Did he have any idea that you had told someone about it?" he asks.

She isn't looking at him, but when she raises her eyes, his face is completely expressionless.

"Maybe not... but I couldn't be sure,"

She responds in a hushed tone. He doesn't reply, and Sania begins staring at the plate in front of her.

The silence stretches between them once again. For some reason, Sania feels a little lighter now, though the person sitting across from her seems lost in thought.

"Whatever you told me, I've thought about it," he says after a while. Sania looks up at him. "As far as the police are concerned, we'll go to them, and you'll tell them everything. We'll let them do their job."

Sania doesn't want to, but his tone is authoritative. She nods silently, and he continues.

"But we won't just sit around twiddling our thumbs. We'll also try to find him on our own, and until he's caught, I won't take any risks with your safety."

He falls silent, and Sania remains seated, lost in thought, absorbing his words. Yet, amidst all her emotions, there is a sense of security that overshadows everything else.

"Alright," she hears herself say. She wants to trust him, and perhaps that's why he is sitting in her house, right in front of her.

"And you won't live in this house from now on," he says after a moment. Sania turns to him with lightning speed. This statement is unexpected, and she feels a surge of defiance.

"I'm not going anywhere."

"I'm not asking..."

"Hassan..." Sania says firmly, her voice stern. He matches it with an equally intense gaze. "I won't leave," she declares.

He continues to stare, then leans forward, resting his elbows on the table. His tone softens.

"See, I can't leave you alone here," he says gently. "You know the reasons. Don't worry me unnecessarily."

"I can take care of myself,"

"Thank you, but I've seen enough."

He leans back in his chair. Sania feels an annoying stir within, this man is getting under her skin.
