It was early in the morning, and the classroom was already filled with loud noises coming from the students. Some of them were playing around, while others were cracking old jokes, making the whole class burst into laughter. The lively atmosphere came to an abrupt halt when the teacher, Miss Eunhee, entered the class unannounced. The students scrambled back to their seats as quickly as possible.

"Good morning, class. Before we start, I'd like to introduce a new student who will be joining us. Please treat her kindly," the teacher announced, gesturing for the new student to come in.

As soon as she stepped into the classroom, everyone was captivated by her appearance.

"Hi, my name is Kim Hwayoung. I hope we can all become good friends," the girl said with a polite smile.

The teacher directed her to sit beside a boy at the back of the room. The boy seemed cold and unwelcoming, but Hwayoung decided not to dwell on it too much.

lunchbreak  (her pov)

After the bell rang, the students rushed to the cafeteria to grab their lunches. Since I was new and unfamiliar with the school, I found myself wandering aimlessly. Suddenly, I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

"Hi there! Are you looking for the cafeteria?" a cheerful voice asked.

I nodded.

"Well, let me take you there!"

As we walked, we chatted for a bit, and she introduced herself.

"Oh, I almost forgot! My name is Kim Minji, by the way!"

When we finally arrived at the cafeteria, I spotted the boy who sat beside me in class. He was laughing, his dimples on full display.

"Minji, what's the name of the guy who sits next to me in class?" I asked, trying not to sound too interested.

"Why? Are you interested in him or something?" she teased, smirking mischievously.

"No! I'm just curious. I mean, I should at least know his name since we sit next to each other, right?"

"Hmm, I'll let you off this time," she replied dramatically. "His name is Yang Jungwon. He's friendly and really nice to everyone. He's pretty well-known for his academics and achievements. But if I were you, I'd stay away from him—otherwise, the fake girls around here will start a fight with you for 'stealing their husband.'" She said the last part with a mockingly exaggerated voice.

I couldn't help but laugh at her antics.

"Wait, did you just say he's friendly and nice to everyone?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, why?" Minji asked, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Did he do something to you?"

"Oh, it's nothing. It's just that when I sat beside him after my introduction, he looked like he hated my presence. I thought he was rude or something. Can't believe he's such a two-faced guy," I said, rolling my eyes playfully.

"Who did you just call two-faced?"
