Y/N awoke from her dream surrounded by rubble and debris. She was taken aback as a tear rolled down her cheek in shock.
"No, I stopped it. This didn't happen...wait, Cassandra..." Y/N spoke to herself as she quickly removed herself from the rubble.
"Ah!" Y/N fell to her knees as she cried out in pain. She looked at her shoulder, finding it dislocated. She took a deep breath and quickly snapped it back into place. She grunted in pain and then rose to her feet. She looked around the debris, trying desperately to find Caitlyn's mother, when suddenly a glimpse of her expensive earrings caught her eye.
"Cassandra!" Y/N called as she ran over to the woman.
She fell beside her and rolled her onto her back, seeing her bleeding badly as she held her in her arms. Cassandra yelped out in pain before she looked up to Y/N and sighed in relief.
"I'm glad to see you alive, Y/N. I'm afraid I'm not going to be making it out of here," Cassandra informed with a small smile.
"No, Cassandra, you're gonna be okay. I'm gonna get you out of here. Caitlyn needs you, your husband needs you, Piltover needs its councilwoman," Y/N replied as a tear fell down her cheek.
Cassandra shook her head and then pulled off her wedding ring and bracelet. "I need you to give my ring to Tobias, and this bracelet to Caitlyn. I want her to wear it, so something of me is always with her," Cassandra handed Y/N the jewellery, placing it firmly in her hand. "And I want you to give that to Caitlyn," Cassandra pointed at the rings on Y/N's necklace that was now swinging above her shirt, "I give you my blessing Y/N. Keep Caitlyn happy, loved and safe for me. Be there for her in her grief and help her find her way back if she gets consumed by it. I know she'll seek revenge, help her get it...but remember to bring her back to the loving, head strong and kind woman she is. I need you to promise me that you won't let her be consumed by her grief and that'll you love her no matter what," Cassandra stated.
Y/N nodded as tears began to fall down her face, "I promise."
"Thank you Y/N. I'm glad Caitlyn chose you. Keep making her...happy," Cassandra said with her last breath before she closed her eyes, succumbing to her wounds.
Y/N gently placed Cassandra on the floor and fixed her hair before she rose to her feet, placing her jacket over her. She looked around the room, seeing a couple more dead councillors. She saw one stuck under a large piece of rubble and used her powers to move the rubble off of him, allowing the enforcer to help him out of the room to gain medical attention. Y/N looked back to see Jayce and Mel.
"Y/N, are you okay? Is that..." Jayce asked.
Y/N nodded, "Viktor is over there. He's breathing, but his heartbeat is faint." Y/N pointed towards Viktor before she looked back to Mel, as Jayce rushed to help his best friend.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't stop it in time." Y/N apologised as she looked to Mel.
"This is not your fault, Y/N. I'm thankful that you at least tried to stop it," Mel replied as she placed a comforting hand on Y/N's shoulder as Y/N wiped away her tears. "Go home, Y/N. Caitlyn is going to need you, now more than ever."
Y/N nodded and began to walk away to leave the room. Her eyes caught Cassandra's body once again, she sighed and left the room.
