A Cinderella Story

Chapter 1

I am Ella Kendrick, a simple girl who has a complete family. When I was little, me, my mom, and my dad would sometimes go picnic and bond together. I had life that every child could dreamed of.

When I was 12 years old. A tragedy happened.

*Recall*

My mom was sick for two days, we had done everything we can do but it was not enough she... died.
But she left a few important words, that I'll never forget.

"Be Kind, have Courage and learn to Forgive"

I can't believe it, the one who tells me stories, the one that never left my side when I was sick, the one who sing songs to me when I can't sleep, the one who comforts me, the one that helps me heal my wounds, and the one who take cares of me is now actually.... DEAD.

And that one is my MOM, my only mom. I cried and cried and cried until my eyes became swollen. I never even came downstairs to eat. I stayed at my room for 2 days. But this midnights I came downstairs to eat.

"Ella, I know how you feel about what happened but please come downstairs to eat you haven't ate anything since these last 2 days I'm worried about you" my dad said

First I had second thoughts if I should come downstairs or not. Then when I heard him walking away I finally made up my mind, I stood up and went downstairs. Then I followed my dad to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and started preparing some sandwitches.

"Ella, please eat this I know your starving" dad said then he handed me a plate of sandwitches.

Boy he was right I was really starving, but he was wrong, he though I never left my room because I only came downstairs at midnight.

"Ella, I'm so sor-"

"No dad" I cut him off "It's not your fault, it's not your fault that m-mom i-is d-ead" I stuttered It was hard for me to pronounce that word too.
"It's not, it's no-" I did'nt continue I just sobbed and cried in his arms.

"Shhh, don't cry Ella, I know that your mom is dead, but she will never be happy seing you like this" dad said
And I saw a drop of tear dropped from his eyes to his cheeks then to his shirt.

After a few minutes of sobbing I went upstairs to rest. I opened my door and jumped in my bed, then closed my eyes and fell into a deep slumber.

"Ella"

"Ella"

I heard a soft voice calling me. I stood up from my bed and went to find where that soft voice came from.

"Ella" then I spotted it. I spotted her.

I run and run until I reached her. She has a blonde wavy hair and bluish eyes. Now you can say where I inherited those. I hugged her tight, then I saw a tear dropped from her eyes to her cheeks.

"Mom, I've miss you so much, I'm so glad your ali-"

"Shhh, Ella, I don't want you to do that again, okay? Promise me you'll eat 3x times a day, and no skipping" she said playfully.

"Mom promise me you'll never leave me and dad again" I begged and she nodded.

"Promise" she smiled

Then she started singing.

Oh how I miss her so much. I miss her soft voice and soft touch. I don't want to lose her again. Never, ever. Then she pulled away. I tried to hold her but she started fading.

"No! Mom, no!, please don't leave me, mom you promised you'll never leave me again!" I yelled

I fell to my knees and sobbed

"Honey, Ella please don't cry, I'm never gonna leave you, I'll be always by your side, even if you can't see me, I can see you, I will be your guardian angel."

* * * * * * * * * *
I woke up.

I was just a dream.

Just a dream.

I cried again I remember every details of my dream every little detail of it. Then my dad suddenly opened the door.

"Ella! Honey are you okay?"

I nodded. And dad hugged me.

"It's okay, it's okay, it's just a nightmare" dad said

"No dad it's not a nightmare, it was a beautiful dream." I said

Dad looked puzzled.
"I dreamed about mom" I said with a smile.

I told dad all the details, and I'm sure I never left out any of them.

And I can never forget what mom said.
