The Shikhawat mansion buzzed with the energy of celebration, vibrant with preparations for the upcoming birthday party. The living room had been transformed into a dazzling spectacle, adorned with elegant decorations, twinkling lights, and colorful balloons that swayed in tune with the party's theme and the birthday girl's favorite colors. Laughter and music echoed throughout the mansion, weaving a joyful atmosphere and an unforgettable evening creating new memories.

Aditi emerged from the kitchen only to gasp as her husband held her hand, pulling her into a nearby room.

"Kya hua? Sab thik hai na?" she asked, concerned.

Surya nodded and took out a jewelry box, opening it to show it to Aditi. "How is it?"

Aditi smiled as her fingers delicately traced the pendant's intricate design. It was nothing short of a masterpiece, blending vintage elegance with a modern twist. The graceful teardrop shape was adorned with ornate filigree, while at its center, a deep crimson ruby caught her eye. The rich hue of the gemstone shimmered with a captivating allure, perfectly balancing the charm of the pendant.

"It's beautiful! Sam will love it," Aditi exclaimed with a smile.

Surya sighed in relief. It was his mother's pendant. Samira wasn't fond of heavy jewelry except for pendants. In her collection, it was the pendant that caught the eye of 11-year-old Samiksha. Their mother promised Sam that she would give it to her once she grew up into a beautiful woman, which would enhance the beauty of the pendant when she wore it. Now that Sam was 20, he wanted to give her what she once wanted; however, he remodeled it for her according to the tastes of today's generation, yet he was apprehensive about not wanting to change its look.

Aditi chuckled, "She will like it, Surya, don't worry. And first, go and bring your brats down before I whack them. Everyone has arrived, and those two are still not ready."

Surya frowned, "Toh tum kyun nahi chali jaati?"

"The door is closed," Aditi hissed. "I tried calling them, but doo mins kha aapki baachi ne, and she shooed me away without even opening the door."

Surya sighed. His sister just loves to rile up his wife, and he ends up becoming the collateral damage in between.

"I will go and call them. Tb tak, tum Isha ke sath raho; she was looking for you."

Aditi rolled her eyes but walked away. She was well aware of her husband's antics of distracting her, yet she was annoyed that she liked those ways too. Despite everything, she rarely got angry at Samiskha; a part of her heart just loved the brat she was. Especially after what she had gone through in the past, she thought it would be hard for the girl to move on from her demons, but Samiskha proved her wrong. The trust she showed in them and the leap of faith she took in letting her and Surya help her heal were commendable, allowing them to leave the past buried beneath the sea.

Each day was like revealing a new layer of Samiksha Shikhawat to her—the one Surya had described for the first time and the brat she truly was. Aditi loved it to her heart's content; she was strict, but she knew that only her husband could tame the girl. The bond between them grew deeper as they became each other's friends, anchors, or simply a mother and daughter blooming like flowers for the better. Earlier, she was just Suryaveer Shikhawat's child, but today she was her child too!

Surya knocked on the door of Samiksha' room. "Princess?"

"I will be down in ten minutes, Bhaiya," Samiksha' voice came through.

"Kab se wahi bol rahi hai," Surya chided softly. "Do you need help? Should I send Diti?"

Before Samiskha could reply, a crash sound came from inside, and then she responded, "N-nahi Bhaiya, I am ready. Just give me ten minutes; I am coming."
