The Darkness was coming. Victoria could hear it, it was calling out to her, drawing her in like a black vortex that sucked everything in its path.
<< Avenge us >>, the Darkness said with a voice that emanated a world of anger, suffering and hatred. "My God, the hate!" An unmeasurable hatred, without beginning or end; such a hatred that it would never stop until every plant and animal and person in this world were crushed and drowned in despair, their freedom torn away, their bodies and souls taken and tortured until only suffering would remain. Suffering would be the only constant in their lives, no more joy, no more happiness, no more light.
The Darkness was coming. It was coming for her, Victoria knew it, she felt it in every part of her being.
In one corner of her mind she could hear the thousands of Apostles, motionless, inactive and sleeping, but ready to wake up at any moment at her command.

The Darkness stopped in front of her and looked at her with its black eyes that reflected no light, like two dark holes that sucked everything in their path.
The Darkness raised its small, pale hand. At that moment, dark tentacles penetrated and enveloped Victoria's mind. All the pain, anger and hatred of the Darkness poured into her and filled every corner of her being. Now Victoria was the Darkness, the two had become one, there was no difference between them. Now the hatred of the Darkness was also hers.
Victoria screamed. She screamed with anger, pain, euphoria, freedom and pleasure...pleasure for what was about to happen. Revenge. Yes, Victoria and the Darkness would have their revenge against all those who had tortured, used and imprisoned them. Yes, Victoria would have force them to remember, she would have crush them under the weight of all the sins they had tried to forget and bury.
Victoria screamed again, but this time her scream was a call to arms. Her Apostles heard her and awoke, their weapons ready.
<< Save us >>, the Darkness said...
