It has been some time since we last spoke. A hundred years, in fact. It has been a century since the last time we were looking at what the Grimm family were up to. Well, let me catch you up on a few things. Damian moved into a place of his own, and not too long after that, Isabella moved in with him. We all thought that things were going to go the way they usually go but they had in fact gone the opposite direction. Damian and Isabella got married and she became Isabella Grimm. She is now a part of the family, and we have been watching her ever since the beginning to ensure that she would not be causing any heartbreak on our watch. We knew that if she were to become one of the family, we would have to pay close attention on her behaviours around Damian. The wedding was beautiful, and so serene. They used the family colours, black, and red. It fit them so well, but how couldn’t it? Violet cried because of how beautiful the bride looked on her big day. Nobody was ready to witness the official union of our eldest brother and his one true love in holy matrimony. It was so special that we almost forgot that the Vampire elder had to be there to make sure he felt the ceremony was right, and that they could be allowed to marry. It was a tricky thing to work through indeed. When it comes to who caught the bouquet, they actually didn’t throw one. I thought they would, but they felt like leaving a few traditions out as long as they got to be together as one. Although they won’t be as ‘one’ for long, now that Isabella is pregnant and should be giving birth in no time. They are really taking this relationship thing serious and becoming the next big thing – parents! Then as we are looking at the beautiful couple having their moments together as they prepare for the traumatic process known as birth. We look at Violet, and her lover Ava. Ava Adams is 610 years old, with red eyes and black hair. My sister bagged herself a pure blood Vampire too. So, it can be possible for the entire family to be happy. I am elated to see my brother and sister in the best of spirits lately. It warms my cold heart to see them so in love. I can’t believe that Violet and Ava are engaged for a while now and are planning to get married as soon as they feel it is the right time. They haven’t set a date yet, but hopefully they can choose one soon. I know that love can make one feel very indecisive but make a decision for heaven’s sake! We are eagerly awaiting the bride moments, the looks at the dresses, and the shared love when they are both at the altar. Whilst this was all going on, I had a date to get to. Blake had organised a date for us to go to ‘Steak Diner’ where we had our first date. He wanted us to feel nostalgic and in the moment. Then we ordered our steaks and just had the best dinner ever which was lit by candlelight. Then the next thing I knew, he was down on one knee, and I thought that he perhaps dropped something under the table. So, instinctively I tried looking under the table and he laughed at me because he knew I was doing the wrong thing. He helped me up and took out the wedding ring in its box. (Blake): “I am going to need you to be patient with me because I wrote you something that really stuck with me, and I am going to feel really shy, so be patient with me. Scarlett Grimm, where do I begin? You were the one girl who always knew where my buttons were, and how to press every single one of them. You were the girl who taunted me as though it were second nature to you. You were the girl that I could not spend a day without talking or thinking about. It took some time – a couple hundreds, before I realized exactly what was going on. I was not fighting with a girl that simply tried to ruin my suit on picture day. I was fighting with the future wife I wanted to marry. I was torturing the same person that I would learn to not torture at all. What was all hate, was in fact, love. There was no moment that I would have changed, no matter how painful, because it all led to this moment right here. To this moment where I can look at you, the impeccable person you have become, and stand here as the inexplicably strong person you helped me become and see only a future forward with us as husband and wife. There is no greater feeling than spending the rest of eternity with someone you love, and I know for certain that person for me is you. Now here I am, on bended knee… asking you, Scarlett Grimm. Will you marry me?” (Scarlett): “Where did you learn to write like that?” (Blake): “Yes or no, baby” (Scarlett): “I mean, yes. Of course, yes! Definitely, yes!” We were both crying by the time he had put the ring on my finger, and I could not believe it was truly happening. My entire world was changing. All of our worlds were changing but at least they were all changing for the better. Being 661 years old does have it’s perks sometimes. Being able to say that you are a fiancée is one of them. We enjoy our dinner and dessert, then we make ourselves look good because we are going home to tell the news to everyone. Since Damian has his own place, Blake had told him of the plans beforehand, so they were all waiting for us once we got home, and there were balloons everywhere. Our signature family colours, black and red. But to tie in a piece of Blake’s family, there is some green here too. My heart is so full, that it could explode if it wanted to. Even Brooke is here! Everyone just wanted to hear how he proposed and to see what the ring looks like. This pretty much happened with both Damian and Violet already, so I knew what to expect when it came to bridal excitations. Mom and dad looked at the both of us and said that they were so proud of us. Apparently, Blake had gone to my dad in secret to ask his blessing in making me his wife. He luckily approved of it, and that was big because he said he wouldn’t have felt right in proposing if my dad had said no., I just felt relieved that everything must have been going smoothly until then. The girls just wanted to celebrate with drinks and talk about colours and shapes for the wedding dress. Meanwhile the guys just wanted to get drunk and joke about how things are once you are married, and no longer a bachelor. Well, the last time I checked, you stopped being a bachelor once you got into a serious relationship. I know that there is one person here today that we have not mentioned. Lucas turned 130 years old today, and I sent him a present. Hopefully he will like it. I wish I could have done more but after he asked me that question over a century ago, it felt like I was forced to make a choice that I didn’t want to make. Choose one and lose the other one. What can I say? Perhaps I love them both. I don’t see myself dating the both of them, but they mean the world to me in their own different ways. Brooke calls me to the side, and I can already tell what’s on her mind. (Brooke): “He’s at your usual meeting spot. He said to meet there in five minutes” I put my hand on her shoulder and give her a knowing look. She will make sure nobody asks questions about where I am, until I am back. I go to the meeting place where Lucas and I used to frequent when he was human, and things were so simple. There he is. Standing in a well-made suit, and with a rose in his hand. I walk over to him, and we exchange a long hug. It feels like it has been too long since we have actually spoke. We haven’t been able to speak much at the academy. A tear escapes my eye and runs down my cheek, he wipes it away and stares into my eyes. (Lucas): “I called you here so I could congratulate you away from all that chaos” (Scarlett): “Congratulate? You already knew? How?” (Lucas): “Blake asked me for my permission to marry you too” (Scarlett): “He did what? Why would he do that. He knew it would be seen as him doing it out of jealousy” (Lucas): “He was doing it because of what he knows. That I love you, Letty. I love you so much that it consumes my every thought, my every being, my every moment of existence. I love you so much that it almost kills me inside with each day I don’t look into those eyes and say how deeply and truly I love you. I love the way you smile, to the way you dance, the way you cheer everyone up, the way you get shy when too many people are around, when you have to give the right answer in class and turn red, I love you through all that and so much more. He knows that I love you and I know that you love me too, even if sometimes you try to escape it. So, all he wanted to know was if it would be alright if he married you, whilst knowing the way I feel about you” I try to speak but no words are able to come out. Oh my gosh, Lucas Reid. You have rendered me speechless.
