INFORMATION: Your best friend's name is BF/N, but her go-to name is Ruby. (She's Italian) She's supportive of you and would DO ANYTHING for you, even if you don't like it. What a good friend, right? 💞
(June 20th, Friday) (5:00)
(Random ahh birthday for you 🥳)The weather was hot as hell and the places were crowded, men were sweaty and women were running around like a fool as if they saw something dangerous. Most women were strutting around in heels, the kids were in candy shops, begging their mothers for candy and the Dads? Mm. They were in the sports department of the mall, Yes. I said, the Mall. Teenage girls recording Tiktoks and dancing, buying stuff their parents wouldn't approve of and the teenage boys were with their fathers. You? Well...
Y/N was walking around in the mall with her bestest friend, Ruby. You were buying clothes, spending her money because she allowed you to. You were amazed and grateful for this opportunity to get the merch you've always wanted, Yet.. never got. You grabbed a shirt from a random area in the store and felt the fabric of the shirt.
So soft and smooth, you could feel the polyester in it already. 100% cotton, indeed.
As you looked at the shirt, you realized what was on the cover. Yes, it was a detailed picture of One Direction. The boy band you love so very much. You screamed at the top of your lungs happily, causing people to stare at you like you were crazy. You rubbed your face against the shirt as if it could speak to you, almost like it WAS.
"Hey, Y/N. Quiet down, will ya? People are staring at you like I stare at white people when they break the pasta in a pot!" Ruby playfully scowled at you, but you didn't care. You were too mesmerized by the shirt and the way they detailed Zayn's face. Damn. You could almost smell his essence right off the shirt, completely ignoring the price tag and the other members. Yeah, Louis was okay too. But Zayn was on a whole another level.
"Yeah, yeah! Did you see this shirt?! Zayn's on it!" You exclaimed, trying not to jump up and down in excitement. Ruby sighs and throws her hands up in exasperation, clearly annoyed with your celebrity crush on Zayn. "Yeah, yeah, Zayn's on it. But who cares? It's not like you'll ever meet him." She says going through a rack of shirts with her hand, while the other hand is on her hips. You roll your eyes at her comment, but you know it was true.
You'll never meet a guy like Zayn or ZAYN himself. All your boyfriends suck and you know it. Is there even boys who act like gentleman or are they all taken nowadays? You think to yourself, lost in thought. Before you could respond, Ruby was in front of you snapping her fingers, snapping you out of your thoughts. She laughed, realizing you were thinking about him again. "Damn, Y/N. You know I didn't mean it like that, I was just kidding. You'll meet Zayn, probably when he's 80." Ruby joked, laughing out loud.
You elbowed her in the stomach, making her laugh even more. You two had that sisterly kind of friendship and it was quite lovely. Besides, who the hell can make it past the age of 80? He probably wouldn't even look that good, at least not to his fans. But I'm his number one fan and he never had any bad pictures. True dat.
Ruby stopped laughing and looked at you with a curious expression. "So, are you gonna buy the shirt or we just here to trash talk about your man, Mrs. Delulu?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest. You could see she had something planned for you, but you didn't know what. Her eyes were holding a secret and you couldn't figure out what it was. You nodded and put the shirt over your arm, getting ready to head over the cashier.
Ruby walked to the cashier with you and pulled out her credit card, handing it to the cashier. You smiled awkwardly as the cashier was staring at all the shirts you picked out, including the One Direction one. He stared at you with a confused but also amused expression. He looked back at Ruby, who was now smirking at you. She looks back at the cashier and says
"Al mio amico piace davvero quella maglietta." (My friend really likes that shirt.) She scoffed. You looked at her with a confused expression, you didn't know what she said. You blushed, because you felt like she was talking about you and she was. The cashier smiled and nodded, "Sì, lo so." (Yes I know.) Ruby laughed and nodded and paid for the shirts.
You ran out with her, giggling and skipping. You made out like a bandit today. This has been a good birthday so far and I have a feeling, it'll get better. 💞
