Chapter 17

As the men were distracted with fighting the members Jaemin was bringing haechan back up. As he was about to enter the helicopter multiple gunshots were heard, Jaemin's eyes widdened in horror.

Kun looked back to see haechan falling backwards in an fast pace as his rope was shot off.

''You Neos really thought you could fool me?'' the voice said with a chuckle

''Park Jinyoung'' Taeyong clenched his jaw. Jinyoung looked at him amused ''I don't think he's going to survive i mean he was shot thrice'' he said whispering the last part. Taeyong furrowed his eyebrows not getting it until he heard Kun's voice ''Taeyong Haechan was shot and fell into the water under the bridge'' Taeyong's eyes widened. ''Neos, you guys are so easy to fool'' he laughed while looking into Taeyong's eyes ''you might save Harun but what about your precious Ace, hm?'' Jinyoung then looked at Jeno

 ''Its a pity your leader doesn't remember anything, his precious family. Oh and his lovely Angel''Jinyoung pouted, Jeno's eyes widened. Taeyong looked at him confused but ignored it before saying ''Give us the file'' Jinyoung rolled his eyes ''You really think im giving that for free? Attaining that file is such big respect here in the underworld and you think im casually going to hand it to you?'' he said boring his gaze into Taeyong's eyes. 

13 year old Taeyong looked at his father before asking ''appa what is that? You have been looking at it for the past 30 minutes'' 

 Mr. Lee looked at him before saying ''its the combste file if anyone attains this they will be the most respected in the underworld and which is why i am going to get it'' his father smirked. Taeyong stayed quiet before asking 

''appa what if it is burnt?''

 His fathers smirk dropped instantly ''Nothing of such will happen, are you out of your mind? For even saying that is disrespect, if this is gone there will be havoc. Havoc of such that will never end until everything is destroyed.'' he said sternly while looking at Taeyong ''one day you will also have this file even if it means to lose everyone'' Taeyong didn't quite understand but just nodded his head. 

Taeyong snapped out of his trance when he heard Jinyoung touch his shoulder before leaning into his ear ''That file will always be mine, and our gang will always. Be. Number 1.'' Taeyong smirked pushing him away before dusting his coat ''lets see about that'' Jinyoung rolled his eyes ''anyways im excited to see you tomorrow, you know its a big day'' he smiled. 

Tomorrow was a big day it was the day where all mafia groups gather whether they are even rivals. Its when Mafia's are awarded for their accomplishments and where alliances are made, its supposed to be a fun night but every year NCT had complications due to the amount of enemies that sabotaged their nights. 

''anyways my jobs done. Oh and if your not attending i think were all pretty sure on why, your going to be attending your members funeral, my condolences'' he smirked before walking into his car and driving away with his men. ''Taeyong we had gotten Haechan from the water and he was taken to WayV's base alongside the rest of the WayV members and will be treated'' Taeyong hummed in response still in his thoughts.

What did he mean by that? Taeyong was lost in his thoughts until he heard Jeno's voice ''hyung?'' Taeyong then looked at him ''yeah?'' Jeno then said ''we've been calling you for the past 20 minutes'' he then sighed ''lets go'' Jeno nodded not questioning it but knew something was wrong and kept a mental note to tell Kun, Jaehyun and Mark about it.

All of the members got into their respective vehicles as they drove to WayV's base. When they arrived the guards opened the gates and their cars were let in, as soon as they entered the base Taeyong then spoke catching everyones attention ''everyone to the meeting room now'' there were a few groans and protests but they still followed behind.  ''Hyung were tired'' Jisung whined 

Everyone sat at the table in silence before he spoke ''I know you guys are tired, but i wanted to say you guys did an great job today. I know we still haven't caught Jinyoung yet but we will and Im sure of that. '' Taeyong smiled looking at everyone who had tired smiles on their faces but Taeyong noticed something.

''where's Kun?'' 

Jeno then spoke ''hes with the other medics treating Harun, Mark and Chenle'' Taeyong nodded ''I wanted to give you guys a heads up'' he said glancing at Jaehyun who nodded aswell ''Im gonna give you guys the next 2 days off but then we have the event, and we need to get what we are here for'' everyone nodded ''alright now enjoy these 2 days and rest up because we need to win this for once and for all'' all the members got up and bowed before leaving.

Taeyong sighed. This wasn't going to be easy, attaining such a file that the entire underworld fights for defines all peace and power. The Combste File will be there's and thats for sure, Taeyong smirked at the thought and sat down before coming up with a plan. 

''Don't you guys find it weird that Taeyong hyung gave us a sudden break?'' Jisung asked ''I swear to god, my bones are going to break if i stand any longer im going to sleep'' Renjun groaned with a yawn ''like you did anything, literally hackers stay in the van and direct you have no fucking job'' Yangyang bit back as Renjun scowled ''fuck you-'' Jeno sighed pulling them apart ''ok this is enough lets just get our sleep and talk about this tomorrow'' they both stayed silent as everyone walked to their own shared rooms.

Kun and Doyoung worked anxiously on Harun Mark Chenle and Haechan as they layed unconcious. They stayed all night treating them as morning hit the members woke up one by one in the afternoon from a good sleep. As Kun was tying a clean cloth to Chenle's waist he heard the door open and looked back to see Jaemin entering ''what are you doing awake this early?'' Kun asked glancing at the time as Jaemin lazily smiled.

 ''shouldn't i be asking you that hyung?'' Kun shaked his head with a tired smile his eyes drowzy ''no I have treat these 4 and then i am going to sleep, right now Doyoung has his turn of rest'' Jaemin shook his head in protest ''Hyung go sleep i will take care of them'' Kun tried to speak as Jaemin pulled him out.

 ''hyung you know i also have experience in medicine please'' Kun sighed agreeing with a nod before smiling gratefuly ''thank you so much Jaemin Im truly grateful'' Jaemin just smiled in response as Kun went to his room before plopping onto the bed and going to sleep.
