Unexpected

New beginnings

I woke up to the loud of laughter coming from downstairs. I had found out we are going to Hawaii and we leave tomorrow.

I grabbed my phone as i rolled out of bed, and saw a couple messages from lily and Georgia. We had a group chat together.

I met lily in freshman year, and we became best friends fast. I have always admired her, shes been through a lot and always stayed strong. She has long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. Plus a gorgeous body. I have always admired her.

I have known Georgia for a while but we only became close last year. Lily and i welcomed her into our friend group. She never fails to make us laugh.
Georgia has curly brown hair that always sits perfectly. She has a darker skin tone that matches her dark brown eyes. I swear Georgia is straight out of a magazine.

Then theres me, i have always considered myself to be quite plain compared to them. I have long straight blackish brown hair, dull brown eyes. I have always had a bit more of a curvy body, but apparently to carter it's gross. Anyway enough about me.

'So lilyyy you're going to Hawaii tomorrow with your smoke show of a "step brother" how you feeling?' I laughed reading Georgia's text

'Im happy to get away, you know. I need a distraction and i think this will do the trick' i sent the message and out my phone down.

I couldn't be bothered to change my clothes just yet, i mean if Eric is here he's going to be my step father anyway and I'll usually be in my pjs. I had some shorts on, mom usually says they are too short but i literally just wear them to sleep, so i don't really care. I also had a long white tank top on. You gotta be crazy if you wear a bra to sleep, they are uncomfortable as it is.

As i walked down stairs i heard my mum and Eric.
"Good morning lily, good to see you awake"
I laughed at her comment.

"Good morning mom and Eric" i turned the corner to the living room and saw axel. Oh shit. Why didn't i change my clothes, stupid mistake.

Did axel always look this good? Because holy fuck he looks good right now.

"Lily, hi" his words pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Hello axel, good to see you again" i sat down on the couch, he was at one end and i was at the other end.

He continued to just look at me, maybe he was realising how awful i look. Just like carter thinks.

"Wheres your boy toy at? Usually he's roaming around here" did mom not tell Eric or did Eric not tell axel?

I laughed at his comment "we ah, we broke up"
I looked towards the tv, hoping he would change the subject.

"Took awhile, he was never good enough for you"
"Oh really?" I replied back. How would he know whats good enough for me? Maybe i wasn't good enough for him.

Axel didn't reply. I let it go and we continued to watch the random show playing on the tv.
Mom and Eric walked into the living room.

"So kids, we have booked a beach house in Hawaii, there's enough rooms for everyone but Angela and i's room is not connected to the main house, its like a separate area with a ensuite" Eric spoke. I didn't mind that, that also means we wont have to hear them getting to business, if you know what i mean.

"That sounds good dad, we are still leaving tomorrow right?" I nodded my head in agreement to what axel was saying.

3 weeks in Hawaii sounds amazing. I love the beach, the sand, sun and water. All perfect and a perfect distraction.

"Yes we are, but Angela and i are heading out in a minute we need to get a couple things before we go. You two will be alright here right?"

"Yes of course, I'll probably start packing" i replied, i like to be all sorted hours before anything. I just dont want to forget anything.

"Good good, well we will be back in an hour or two" my mom spoke. Axel and i nodded in agreement.
I heard the front door open then close and i decided i may as well start packing.

"Im going to start packing, you can come chill in my room if you want"
I saw him smirk before answering.
"Asking me to come to your room? Thats new"
I giggled at his statement.
"Well things have changed" i turned around and started making my way upstairs.

Axel followed me and shut my door behind him.
I walked over to my closet and bent down to get my suitcase.
"Your room is a lot cleaner than i expected" i saw axel looking around as i turned around with my suitcase.
"I like my space being clean, it makes up for my head being a mess"
He laughed at my joke.

I started gathering my clothes and when i got to my swim suits i had no clue what ones. Axel was just sitting on my bed resting against the wall.
"Im not to sure what swimmers to bring.." i say turning around with like 20 swim suits in my hands

"Id say colourful ones, you would look good in them"
I smiled while turning around to pick them out.
"Would i now"
"Yea you would, i mean you look good in anything if I'm going to be honest"
I blushed while folding my swimmers. He's never said anything like that before.

I had just kept packing and we had little conversations on what the holiday would be like. I found out he likes playing the guitar. He asked about carter and i wasn't really ready to tell anyone else about what happened. His words still ring in my head.
