For those of you who've read my Jedi Storytime series, I know I've done an Aladdin based story before, and I am working on Bad Batch Tales stories that take on the plots of Disney movies I have previously done for Jedi Storytimes.
Rest assured though, they will be totally different, and hopefully very enjoyable too.
Call it running out of ideas if you want, but writing is rewriting, and who says I can't write different versions of a story? Especially when you can't decide which you like best.

Indira and Hunter were a real dream couple, one unlike most you might've imagined. One half was a defective clone with heightened senses, and the other was a princess who escaped a forced marriage to an abusive pervert and turned into a pegasus to be raised by a kind equine couple.
Indira still remembered when she first gained her crush on Hunter.
When Indira first arrived, she took one look at Hunter and could swear his luscious locks were blowing in the wind as though he were trying to attract her. But she'd shaken it off at the time, and then she felt something else a few months later during the family's trip to Lokohi-Hana, she'd looked at Hunter when he didn't have his shirt on, and then she was really attracted to him. That's not to say she wasn't just interested in his appearance, even if Hunter did have impressive abs and beautiful hair. Indira knew quite a few words of wisdom, or as Crosshair called it, "Fortune cookie talk," and among the things her mother Sarmi told her, Indira reminded herself, "A siren's song makes a call, but not one of love. A moth follows light, but often gets burned. But a good archaeologist knows that the truest treasure is hidden deep within."
In other words, Indira knew the difference between loving someone and just being attracted to them. The way Indira learned, giving into attraction more often than not led to trouble, but when you truly love someone, you make the effort to connect with them, as well as communicate and compromise. The three C's of love.
Indira knew from her parents' marriage what love was. You see, Indira's parents came from a clan in Equinaro that was known to practice arranged marriages. Initially, her parents were set up in arranged marriages, but to other ponies. Except, the two of them met one day when they both started working in the palace.
Jalebi Ghoda was a royal guard, and his family expected him to wed a lovely unicorn from a high society family because according to their math, he could provide her protection. Plus, the marriage into her family would elevate Jalebi's family's status. Sarmi Bakshi, on the other hoof, came from a very wealthy family, and her parents set her up with another wealthy family's son. But then, Sarmi and Jalebi met by chance.
At first, neither thought much of it, but when Jalebi had some struggling students in guard training, Sarmi stepped in and helped him to get the recruits' attention and improve their focus. As time went by, Jalebi and Sarmi spent time together getting better acquainted and falling in love. Unfortunately, neither of their family's would have them falling for anyone but their betrotheds. The options were these: either marry the spouses of their parents' choices, or never speak to their families again. But, both Sarmi and Jalebi saw a third option. And so, on the day of their weddings, which happened to fall on the same day, both of them did the same thing Indira did to get away from Aghati: run!
Like in a romantic comedy or something, Jalebi and Sarmi ran away together, both of them in their wedding attire. After running for what must have been hours, they stopped to catch their breath and laugh for a bit, and underneath an apple tree was where Jalebi officially asked Sarmi to be his wife, and together they went to the first chapel that would have them, where they officially got married. Earlier that very day, their parents had told each of them, "You are getting married today, and that's final!" Well, they were right. They did, and they were so happy together. They tried many times, but didn't have any luck having a foal of their own, but then Indira entered their lives. Neither of them minded that she was a human at first; they took it as a sign they were meant to take on a challenge of caring for a child who was a little... different from the rest. Anyone can conceive a child, but it takes a special someone to be a parent.
