Dominic
Benedict had gone to his own room a while ago, I'm assuming he's asleep. I took this time to sit out on the balcony with a glass of whiskey waiting for Vanessa to return, I've been watching her step by step as she dismembered that piece of shit of a woman and I will be dammed, I was turned on the entire fucking time. Vanessa smiled and laughed the entire fucking time, like each scream was melody to her ears and I understand that feeling very damn well, it's exactly how it is for me with each kill
Call me a psychopath, I don't give a shit. I care for the people that deserve it, everyone else can burst into flames and I won't blink a fucking eye
I hear the door slamming open with a loud bang for inside causing me to drop my glass and run.
Shit
I stare at a red faced murderously angry Vanessa standing in front of me, that look is sexy until it's aimed towards me. "You mother fucker, you do not make choices for me. You do not make decisions that affect me and the people I care about without my fucking permission," Vanessa yells, she's on me in a heartbeat slamming her fists onto my chest with a force I never expected her to have. "I am just looking out for you," I say grabbing her wrists
"We have been through enough, I am not risking Nathan too"
"Tell me truthfully, were you planning to just let things flow? Or were you planning to smother him in his sleep?" I ask and she narrows her eyes at me. "Oh because you know me so damn well"
"I do"
She groans before punching my chest hard enough to make me stumble backwards. "You have no right to make life choices without me," Vanessa raises her voice, I reach for her wrists again but halt when her hand connects with my cheek. My eyes widen at the same time hers do and I clench my jaw tightly
"I'm sorry, I- fuck Dom. I'm so sorry"
I cup her face with my hands looking into her eyes so she realises just how serious I am about this shit
"I would never accept this shit without knowing that Nathan would be fine here, I would never put his life at risk if I was not fucking sure that it would be the best thing for either one of us. I saw the way you looked at him, I saw the way you tore up that woman with a smile on that beautiful face of yours. I know just how much you want to swap that woman for him, and like you said, we need to think rationally about this shit show before we act. Nathan is the most reasonable out of all of us, I will not let Scarlett anywhere near this man either. So, pack your fucking bags already so we can leave first thing in the morning"
Vanessa sighs but nods before glancing back at Nathan, nodding once and heading to our room
"You tried to convince her?" I ask Nathan. "I tried to mention it, but you know her, she doesn't like decisions being made for her. She was pissed to say the fucking least," Nathan replies heading into my kitchen and helping himself to a glass of whiskey, he raises the bottle offering me one and I nod since I dropped mine on the floor when they arrived. "She's got a lot of fire," Nathan says. "Yeah she does," I reply motioning to the balcony. We go outside and rest on the railings.
"Are you worried that she's enjoying this too much?"
"No, I think it's good for her. God knows what would've happened if she kept suppressing this side of her. At least now she gets to use it for good"
Nathan nods. "Who would've guessed that she had it in her," he chuckles before bringing the glass to his lips. I let out an involuntary sigh, Vanessa had changed me for the better. She has me thinking about the greater good of everything, I know I ran this organisation to kill off the fuckers who don't deserve to be alive but everything else didn't matter to me. "You know you didn't do this right? This isn't on you, if anything it's on that motherfucker in the other room"
"The motherfucker who would've never gotten close to her if it weren't for my own obsessions"
"Dominic, she's Scarlett's best friend. She was her roommate. One way or another she would've been exposed to this"
"I knew I wanted her, one look was all it fucking took and I had no choice but to make her mine. I had to make sure that she was mine"
"I know the feeling"
I raise an eyebrow at him, Nathan has never been one to sleep around. Except when he was seeing a mystery girl that he refused to fucking mention around me, but he was truly happy when that was happening. "Are you ever going to tell em who she is?" I ask. "I'm surprised you don't already know Dominic, you know everything." Nathan adds, I straighten staring right at him going through every bit of information he's ever given me
"A redhead, never thought they were my type but she is breathtaking"
"Are you kidding? She's got these green eyes"
"Older brother is very protective of her, she doesn't want anyone to know about us"
I laugh, really fucking hard that I've decided to ignore these obvious facts this whole fucking time. I pinch the bridge of my nose softly with my eyes closed trying to get my shit together. "You've been sleeping with my little sister?" I ask, Nathan visibly cringes at the way I word my sentence but I did it on purpose for this exact reaction. "Little sister sounds vile, she was 18 when it first happened. I'm not a groomer. We broke things off because she was afraid you would kill me or react the way she did when she found out about you and Ness," Nathan replies but I shake my head. "Look out of everyone on this goddamn planet, you're the only one I would trust to be with her,"
Nathan slaps my shoulder and squeezes. "Are you giving me the green light?" Nathan asks
"Yes Nathan, I'm giving you the green light to finally be with Scarlett"
