that face is basically how I imagined kuroo's face the whole of this chapter..

You arrive at the nekoma volleyball room, you took in the surroundings, there were a few players there just speaking or laughing with each other. 

Everyone had their own lockers and they all were decorated so differently and uniquely.

Kuroo walked up to his locker and grabbed a few papers that to you looked like a foreign language but apparently he understood all the notes and scribbles.

One thing you took out of this, was that kuroo was not the neatest or tidiest with his note taking...

Yaku and lev who were sat on the floor eating their lunches greeted the two of you,

'hey captain'  lev says while shoving a cheese sandwich into his mouth, causing the food to spit everywhere.

'why are you in here? don't you have lunch at the benches with Mei and them lot?'  Yaku asked confused as he also held a packet of crisps in one hand.

'Me and y/n are sorting out for the trip' Kuroo replied sharply. Something was off with him and you knew. You didn't know him too well but every interaction you've gad with him so far he was jokey and friendly. Always that playful smirk on him.

But right now he wasn't smiling, and actually he was kind of frowning? you didn't want to say anything as you didn't really have that relationship with the captain were you could just go up to him and ask if hes doing alright. So you just stood in silence.

Basically your effort to look good and for him to notice you was miserably failing, all his attention and thoughts were probably on that argument he had with that girl.

'oh nice, you exited for the trip y/n?' Yaku asks smiling to you.

You smile back,

'Yeah honestly, I've never done anything like this so I'm a little nervous, but I know it will be fun'

Yaku nods his head.

'oh yeah I totally get that, you'll meet plenty of new people too, the guy from Karasuno are super chill we've had a few practice matches with them. oh and Fukurōdani will be their and their ace bokuto is super good friends with kuroo, aint that right kuroo?' Yaku starts laughing, waiting for a reply from kuroo. but kuroo just stares at the piece of paper. Getting an odd look from you lev and yaku.

'he normally perks up and starts hyping the shit out of bokuto when he's mentioned' Lev adds as yaku nods in agreement.

You stand their looking at kuroo, he's not phased a bit. 

'I don't even think he's listening to our conversation right now..' You say as you sit down on a chair.

'captain?' Yaku stands up and nudges him.

'yeh?' Kuroo looks at yaku,

'I said were going to see bokuto at the camp tomorrow' Yaku repeats waiting for an outburst of energy when mentioning bokuto again.

But kuroo just passes it off and gets back to reading his notes.

'yeah it will be sick, y/n has already met bo though at the party'

Your eyes widen remembering the party... It was a little embarrassing for you to remember the way your boyfriend just ditched you.

'oh yeah my bad y/n, I completely forgot you met a few people there' Yaku  says

You nod and smile, 'Yeah but the party was low key a disaster, for me anyway' 

Yaku eyebrow raises, you also notice kuroo's head perked up at your comment.
