• Beth •

The feeling of the cold make me shutter my teeth. I wish I chose to wear something a bit more warm instead of my ripped up jacket. "Hannah!" I yell. The soles of my shoes crunch down on the cold icy snow below. "Hannah please, where are you?!" I yell again. I was truly worried.

"Hannah!" I yell. "It's Beth, where the Hell are you?!" I scream. 'Fuck, it's cold.' I bring out my flashlight on my phone as I unlock the gate in front of me. Pushing down on some buttons before pushing it open with a creak. '3, 5, 7, 5' I typed in.

As I make my way down the path I crouch down on my knees to crawl under a pine tree that looks like it fell down. "Ow." I felt a line cone hit me in the head. "Very funny, mother nature." I mutter. Once I get up, I throw the pine cone as far as possible. "Hannah!" I yell once again.

A screeching noise made my ears ring. I felt like that started to bleed from how loud it was. "What the fuck?" That's when I get stuck with two lanes in front of me. One had footsteps embedded in the snow, and the other, I heard Hannah. "Hannah!" I yell as I follow her voice.

As I walk a bit further I see something sticking out the ground. A piece of well sculpted wood. It looked like an owl. As I pull the mystery item out of the snow I adjust it in the palm of my hand. That's when I started feeling dizzy. My back was in a lot of pain all of a sudden. "Ow, fuck." I drop the totem thingy and walk away, rubbing my back. 'That was weird.'

I find a small shed. I unlock the hatch and see nothing but darkness. As I trip on a can below I fell in my ass. I guess that can saved my life because before I knew it, flames flew above my head. The orange and yellow flames almost catching my head on fire. "Holy shit!" I yell as I crawl backwards out of the shed. 'Someone tried to fucking kill me?' "Hannah! Fuck."

"Hannah?! Shit what are you wearing?" I say as I see her knee deep into the snow. She was wearing nothing but a black thin shirt with lace over her chest that was half way off her shoulders, black jeans, and dark brown boots. "You must be freezing." I slide my jacket off my shoulders, and as I give it to her she gives me a weak smile, wiping away her tears from her glassy eyes. Her glasses were no were to be seen. Must have lost them when she ran off.

"Come on. We should head back." I suggest. But before Hannah could even get up we hear another screech. But this one was louder than before, which means whatever it was, was much closer than before. "Run, Hannah!" I yell as I push her in front of me. "Beth, what was that?" Hannah asks. "Just keep running!" I scream.

I legs started to feel weak. And was running out of breath as well. "Keep going!" I yell. I started to not see a thing. The misty snow was covering my eyes, fogging it up. "Wait!" I yell as I scurt along the snow. "Shit." I whisper as we almost fell off a goddam clif. "OMG, we almost fell." Hannah says. Her breath hitches as she backs up. That's when I see a shadow behind her. "Get back Hannah!" I say as I shove her body behind me. Protecting her with one arm over her chest.

"Back off!" I yell as I see a man slowly walking toward us. "Didn't you hear me you prick?! Back the fuck off!" I yell again. His body was covered in a big ass coat. A furry hood covering his head and glasses as round as circles that protected his eyes. And not to forget a big ass flamethrower he has on his back. Shit was bigger this his head. "Come." He says as he lends out his hand for mine.

"Beth, wait no." Hannah whispers as she backs up. "Ah!" She yells as she slips, grabbing my hand as a reflex, dragging me down with her. "Oh shit!" I hung on tight to a branch that grew out of the clif. "Help!" I yell. The man from before poked his head over the clif. His hand slowly came out for me to grab ahold of.

I knew then I had a choice. I let go of Hannah, or let go of the branch completely and let us fall to our deaths. 'Shit.' "I'm so sorry Hannah." I say through my tears. They picked through my eyes, and started running down my face. I felt her hand slip as I fully let go of her wrists. "Hannah, please. I'm so sorry."

I couldn't believe I did that. I killed her. Her hair flowing in the wind and arms walling as she falls. I could remember her eyes, full of fear. "Now!" I hear the man yell. I shake my head as I adjust my grip on the branch. Holding my right hand out for him to grab. Only for the fucking branch to break. Karma's a bitch, am I right.

I could feel the pit on my stomach grow. The image of the cliff above and the man that peaked over slowly fades out of sight. That's when my brain played a memory. The Elk, the black eyes that started right into mine as I slowly gained on it. My hand unconsciously reached out for it. I slowly pet it. It didn't run away this time. Instead it lowered it's head, closing it's eyes with relaxation. The feeling of its fur in-between my fingers felt really nice.

Then everything went black. My memory shattered into millions of glass shards in front of me before slowly disappearing. The only thing I last felt was my back, breaking on something below. I was dead. Gone. Dead and gone.
