Chapter 1: The Purple Moons

Arya knelt at the edge of the shoreline, the salty breeze teasing her dark hair as she meticulously collected a water sample. Her mind was focused, the world quiet, save for the rhythmic crashing of waves. Above her, the pale blue sky stretched endlessly—but it wasn’t entirely serene.

Three faint purple moons hung low on the horizon. They had appeared weeks ago, a cosmic anomaly no one could explain. The villagers whispered about bad omens, divine punishments, or the end of times. Yet, something about this day felt… heavy. The air seemed charged, and the usual rhythm of the waves felt oddly stilted, as if nature itself held its breath.

A sudden shift pulled Arya from her thoughts. The once-blue sky twisted into deep crimson, black clouds spiraling toward an unseen focal point. The suns seemed to vanish entirely, leaving the three moons glowing brighter.

Then came the ocean’s retreat.

Arya stood, transfixed, as the water was sucked back into the horizon, exposing the seabed. The wet sand shimmered unnaturally, a glowing carpet of purple algae stretching across the shore. The sight sent a chill down her spine.

“What the hell is happening?” she whispered.

Far out on the exposed seabed, something massive caught her eye

Far out on the exposed seabed, something massive caught her eye. It looked like a rock formation at first—but no, it was alive.
