quick summary: y/n is from boston. you became friends with nate, ever since the triplets spend more time in la (assuming they do). you watched all their friday videos with nate and genuinely thought the guys were funny, but you'd never actually met matt, chris, or nick. recently, nate told you the triplets would be coming to boston. they'd gotten invited to attend a nba (professional basketball) celtics game. they had invited nate and nate invited you. you decided to go and that's where your feelings for matt start.
it was 8:15am, and you began to wake up and you heard your phone dinging, meaning someone was texting you. you go to reach for your phone to see who the incoming text are from and you see you have several text from nate.

Are you awake?
Please answer!

good morning to you too nate
Yeah, wtv y/n good morning
did you need something?
Yes, actually. I do
Chris and I were texting last night and he told me they're flying in this morning
And get this. Apparently, they got invited to a
Celtics game, and they have 2 extra tickets!
Do you want to come?
The Celtics game tonight!
NATE THAT'S AWESOME!!!

Good because it's about time you guys meet
Yeah, I guess it is
you kept texting nate for a while, asking about what time and how you guys are supposed to get to td garden (the arena). you guys settle on nate pick you up at around 4:30pm since the drive was only about 30 minutes to the arena, from your area and the game started at 6:00pm.
by the time you got out of bed it was 10am. you had a long time to get ready, but now you were so excited to go to the game. you've always enjoyed playing and watching basketball. in fact you met nate because he played in the same gym you sometimes did too. you've never been to a nba game though so you were genuinely excited. plus, you were also excited to meet the triplets. nate had always talked really good about them, and from watching their videos you could tell you guys would get along. not to mention you kinda...maybe...possibly found matt attractive.
time skip: around 4:15pm
you had spent the last two hours getting ready for tonight. you'd done your hair, makeup, and finally settled on an outfit you liked.

a/n: you can imagine whatever you like. i just kinda thought it'd be nice to give you guys an idea.
you were doing your finishing touches when you got a text from nate saying he was waiting outside. you grabbed all your stuff, said bye to your cat and walked out the door and into nate's car.
the two of you spent the next half hour listening to music and talking about the game. "how close do you think we'll be to the game?" you ask. "to be honest, i don't know y/n. but as long as we get good seats we'll be fine" nate responded. it wasn't a long drive so you were there before you knew it. as you and nate waited to meet up with the triplets at the front of the arena, nerves started to kick in. you don't know why, but you wanted to have a good impression on the guys. especially matt.
you're taken away from your thoughts when you hear someone yell, "nate!! there you are man". you see the three familiar guys come up to nate and greet him. that's when nate says, "hey, uh so this is y/n. y/n this is chris, that's nick and that's matt". although the three brothers were triplets and of course looked alike, you knew it wasn't going to be hard to tell them apart because they had some different features and very different personalities. nick went first. "oh my gosh, hi. you're so beautiful, and i love your jacket" he says as you both go in for a hug. "oh stop it nick, you look amazing too" you respond. "we finally get to meet the famous y/n, who nate won't stop talking about", chris says jokingly to which matt responds "kids' just jealous nate has friends and he doesn't". you all laugh at matt's comment and chris just rolls his eyes and says "whatever matt, let's just go inside and find our seats".
you all start walking inside together as a group. but before you even realize, nate, chris, and nick are ahead of you and matt. your looking around, admiring the arena when matt notices and asks "first time coming here?". "yeah, actually it is. it's amazing though, and i'm really trying to soak it all in". "so, i take it you actually like basketball and are not just here to take pictures and look pretty?" matt questions, causing you to smile at his comment. "yeah, i am. i grew up playing and i actually met nate through basketball too. and i've also always been a big celtics fan, just never had the chance to come to a game" you respond. "well, i'm glad i get to experience your first time here with you" matt says and you both smile at each other. matt then says, "we should probably catch up to them and actually start walking to our seats, with them leading we'll probably end up at the very top section, when we have floor seats". you stop and look at matt, "what?! floor seats...matt you're joking right?". matt laughs and says "no, we have five vip tickets meaning we have floor seats". a big smile appears on your face and you say "then what are we doing up here. GUYS! nate, chris, nick! we have floor seats! c'mon let's go down and find our seats". without realizing what you're doing, you grab matt's hand and drag him down the stairs with you to find your seats. matt laughs and says "y/n, you don't even know what section we are in." you stop walking and realize matt is right. you notice that you are still holding matt's hand so you let go and say "right, sorry. soooo, what section are we in?". matt says "section a". now he's the one to grab your hand and he starts leading you. the smile reappears on you face, as you realize you're in for an amazing night.
so... what did you guys think? i hope you guys enjoyed this first part of this chapter. i know it was kinda short so i apologize. but i hope to be posting the next one soon and then after that, i'll probably be writing a smut chapter so stay ready for that.
