Rein POV
It's just a typical day again in my life, walang bago kundi ang mag-aral ng sandamakmak na lesson. Ganito ba ang buhay senior highschool? It's so draining, I can't even recognize myself anymore this is not the Rein I know.
"Agatha Rein Galvez!" Pahiyaw na tawag sa akin ni Olivia kaya naman nilingon ko ito.
"Ano?" Inis na ani ko.
"Tawag ka ni Benedict" Saad niya kaya naman napatayo ako agad at lumabas ng classroom.
It's very obvious why I'm acting like this everytime I hear his name saying na hinahanap niya ako or tawag because I like him.
He's Benedict Sarmiento, my highschool bestfriend and of course long time crush. We're always at the same class when we were still in junior highschool, since grade 7 to 10 kaklase ko na siya but ngayon we chose a different academic track.
HUMSS siya at STEM naman ako which I regretted truly.
"Nag-recess ka na?" He asked.
Ang gwapo talaga ng boses niya, ang gwapo pa ng mukha tapos matalino pa jusko full package.
"Hindi pa, magrerecess pa lang" Sagot ko naman.
"Tara, libre kita" He said and pulled me to canteen.
He bought me lots of snacks sa canteen which hindi naman ako nagreklamo. Actually ayaw kong kumakain ng madami dahil natatakot akong sabihan ng matakaw especially I have a chubby body but because of him parang nawalan na lang din ako ng pakialam sa opiniyon ng iba sa katawan ko.
"Ganiyan dapat, kain ka lang nang kain" Ani niya habang nakangiting nakatitig.
Those hazel eyes, long lashes, are making me melt. I can't help but to assume na gusto niya rin ako pero what if?
"Kumakain naman ako ah" Saad ko at patuloy lang sa pagkain.
Minutes later, and it's already time. We're infront of my classroom, he always does this; hinahatid ako sa room namin even every morning.
"Oh pasok ka na" Sambit niya.
I just nodded and we bid our goodbyes. As I sat in my chair, tinanong naman agad ako ni Olivia.
"Kayo na ba ni Benedict?" She suspiciously asked and of course I denied it kasi totoo naman na hindi kami.
"No way" Sagot ko naman. "Ni hindi nga ako gusto ng tao" I added nonchalantly but totally disappointed.
I mean it's not even his fault that he doesn't like me. I'm the one who fell in love so I'm responsible of my own feelings- why am I even disappointed? I can't even tell him what I feel.
"Ahhh" That's all what she can say and we just shrug it off as the class already started.
It's dismissal time and there he is again at the corridor waiting for me. Now this is making me wonder, is this how he usually treat his friends? Normal ba 'to? Whatever just forget it. Bahala na, just enjoy every moment with him.
