The bright light from my bedroom shone onto my pretty turquoise orbs. Ugh, school again. I'd rather stay home and play video games, the other girls wouldn't understand, I'm not like them. I get up from my fluffy bed, it was pink of course, that was too girly for someone like me. My petite frame was so light, I was about to fall into my bed again! Silly me, I'm just so quirky.

I tie my shiny blonde hair into a messy bun. I don't put on makeup like other girls. I don't need it, the boys HATE girls who put on makeup.

After a while I finally reach school. The girls' perfumes fill my small nose, it was so overwhelming and unnecessary. But then, I see my crush, Jake. Oh my gosh! He's so handsome, with his green orbs and muscles. But of course Marissa has to be there with him, talking about her life...who cares! Definitely not me. That ugly girl must be trying to steal him from me! I need to get Jake, he's My football captain...But how will I get him to notice a petite, weird girl like me?

I ignore the sadness hiding it with a fake smile. My first subject is History. Ugh, I HATE History. I HATE Mrs. Johnson, she always catches me sleeping in class, oh well, I'll just sit at the back. I walk to the back of the classroom and sit next to this lonely girl. And... she wasn't wearing makeup! She is kind of pretty.. NO! She must be wearing makeup! I didn't notice her move until she spoke to me, "Hey, never seen you here, or maybe I just never noticed." She was so nonchalant, it was so cool... "Oh, umm I- I think you never noticed me, No one ever d-does.." I somehow turned into an embarrassing, stuttering, awkward mess. What happened to me??

"I'm guessing you're trying to hide the fact that you're sleeping right?, Try putting a journal over your face, or get some of the nerds in the front to do your work for ya, works every time." She said with a small smirk on her face. And you wanna know what I did? I just stood there, staring at her like an idiot! But I snapped back to reality, "O-oh, Thanks! I'll keep that in mind." I murmur. The class went on but I didn't sleep, instead I actually stayed awake! I leaned back from my chair and stared at the girl beside me, then – BAM!! My head hit the floor. "Hey, you okay?" she asked me, turning around to see me lying on the floor trying to get up. Dammit, I'm so clumsy.. "Oh yeah.. Yeah, I am." I reply, flustered, getting back up on my chair.

"You sure? That was a pretty bad fall you took..." Her voice a mix of concern and amusement, "You seem  to be the clumsy type, I can walk you to the nurse's office if ya want?" She followed up, was she teasing me? I couldn't tell, I rubbed my head before saying, "U-Uhm, yeah s-sure, that would be nice..." I said, tucking a strand of my golden locks behind my  ear. We somehow got permission to go to the nurse's office. "Hm.. Fine, but you two better review chapter 1 and 2 at home." Mrs. Johnson demanded. We started walking to  the office, I didn't realize this girl was so tall... Her large frame was towering over my small body. "So... I never got your name, mine's Charli." She introduced herself. "Oh! Uhm, I'm Rebecca, nice to meet you Charli.." I mutter meekly

We arrive at the nurse's office and they lead me to a bed I can rest in. "Woah-" I say as I almost trip over the medicine cart. But I don't. Oh my god... I realize someone caught me. "Hey clumsy-head, I know I'm charming but you don't have to fall for me." Charli says rolling her eyes and laughing a little. Gosh, she was so pretty... Her luscious black hair fell on her face. It looked so soft, I really want to touch it.. But I probably would scare her away if I did that. I'm so quirky, that's why other girls don't like me, but Charli.. She ight actually be my friend. She's not like the other girls, she's like me.

The nurse said I was okay and I go out of the nurse's office to go to my next class, when I get jump scared by Charli sitting in the waiting room. She waited for me! "Hey blondie! You 'kay?" She says to me, standing up and walking up to me. "Oh yeah, yeah I'm great!" I say  looking up at her drea- Uh I mean, hazel orbs. "You sure? Looks like you froze for a second." She says laughing at my weirdness. "Oh uh- No, I'm fine..." I reply, rubbing the back of my head, blushing. "I just need to go to the washroom real quick.. Uh-" I mutter, before quickly rushing to the girls' washroom.

I wash my face with cold water, the feeling waking me up, what's happening? I look at my face in the mirror, tomato red and wet.  "Oh come on, Rebecca! Get it together, she's the only one who gets us!" I grumble to myself, walking out of the washroom. "Hey red-face, stop rushing around, you might get hurt again! Plus, I can't keep up with you, short-legs." She exclaims to me to me once I step out of the washroom. "Huh? Oh yeah.." I mumble, trying to hide my face, which is still red for some reason! "I'm just nervous.." I whisper quietly to myself. "What'd you say? Sorry I didn't hear you." She says leaning down to my face. "Oh nothing, see you in break, Charli?" She nods in reply, "Yeah, of course!" She says grinning at me cheerfully as she waves goodbye and I wave back and rush to my next class.
