2:Getting To Know The Seawalds

Aria's POV

I was walking back to class and while I was walking, I was thinking about what Mr. Harris was telling me.

'Is it really true that Ben and Jessa Seawald adopted me? I can't believe it. What will the others think?'

All these questions were roaming through my mind and I didn't know how to process it.

I finally got back to class and went back to work.

End of day...
The bell had finally rung to go home. I felt myself all jumpy yet shaky since I was getting adopted. At least it's not like my other two homes I had where I would be beaten everyday.

I was walking up to the office. When I got there, I was hesitant on going in. Just before I decided to open the door, I heard a voice from behind me. I turned to see one of my really good friends, Alexis Williams.

Alexis: Hey Aria. Whatcha goin in the office for?

Aria: Oh I have gotten adopted today while I was here at school, so my adoptive mom is inside waiting for me.

Alexis: Oh cool. Well, I'll see you tomorrow?

Aria: Yep. See ya tomorrow Alex!

She then walked away and I then opened the door and walked inside. I walked up to the front desk and asked about Jessa and if she's here. The lady said to go to the principal's office. I nodded and walked off.

When I got to the principal's office, the door was closed. I was scared, excited and actually hesitant to open the door. After a few minutes, I opened the door and walked in.

Mr. Harris: Aria, your here.

I saw Mr. Harris talking to Jessa. Jessa turned around and faced me.

Jessa: Well hey there.

Aria: H... Hi.

Mr. Harris: You two are free to go if you'd like.

Jessa: Thank you. Have a nice day Mr. Harris. Ready to go Aria?

I nodded and then I followed behind her.

Jessa: Ben is in the car waiting for us.

Aria: Okay.

We walked out to Ben and Jessa's car.

I got in the back seat behind the passenger as Jessa got in the front next to who I'm guessing is Ben.

Ben: Hey. I'm Ben. You must be Aria?

Aria: Ye... Yea that's me.

Ben: Ready to go?

I nodded. We then left the school.

We soon arrived to what seems like there home. We got out of the car, Ben grabbed my stuff while I grabbed my backpack, and we then walked inside.

Ben: You okay?

Aria: Ye... Yea. I'm just shocked that I'm getting adopted for one, and two is that it's you two. I'd never thought that I'd get adopted by you guys.

Jessa: I don't think really any kid would have. We've talked about it and it was on TV too, we just didn't know when to adopt. But we then decided to and we wanted to adopt you.

I smiled. I couldn't believe that they wanted to adopt me. This thought kept running through my mind.

Aria: I thank you for adopting me.

Jessa & Ben: Why do you have to thank us?

Aria: Because I know you two won't hurt or abuse me. I don't know if Ms. Fields mentioned it but the other two homes I've been in, I've been abused, hurt, really anything you can think of.

I could feel tears gently rolling down my face.

Aria: But I know y'all won't do that and so that is why I am thanking you for adopting me instead of some random person and they start abusing me.

Jessa's POV

After what Aria Told Ben and I, I was shocked on hearing that. I am now really glad that Ben and I have adopted her. Ben and I were looking at each other then back at her.

Jessa: Aria, we are more than happy that we have adopted you. I am so sorry that you had to go through all that. So is Ben. You are safe here and anytime you wanna talk to any one of us, you can, alright.

Aria: Okay Jessa.
