|Chapter 6|

Avni

“Where are they,” I asked Dhruv...

(Sameer , Arman and Nidhi went to bring the books from the library...)

“Unhone bola tho tha thodi der mein
ajayenge!” ...

“Lo agaye ”

“Where were you guys ?”I asked them...

“At the library, Dhruv tune bataya nai ?”Arman asked...

“We were at the library, we went to bring books,”Sameer explained...

“Ohh ,ok then ,”I said while looking at the books.

Then we went to the Library(*2nd one*).

“Okay so , as by seeing your marks I guess you all are not so well in  mathematics.Right” I asked them while looking at their entrance marks.

“Yes Mam”They all said in unison.

I chuckled a little and said :“Fine, jokes aside open your maths books and practice from the 1st chapter if you have any kind of doubt ,ask me!”

“Okay👍” They said together.

“Avni yaar, I'm really stuck on this one question,look : If x + 5 = 11, what's the value of x ?” Sameer asked staring at the question.

I took the pen from Sameer's hand and ...

“ It's nothing hard, Just subtract from both sides:

x + 5 - 5 = 11 - 5
x = 6

So,x is 6 !”

“Thank you so much Aayu!”

“Your welco–” I was about to say something but

Wait!did he just call me Aayu!!I never felt so happy about some calling me by my nick name!! Aaahhhh ! I'm going crazy 😩.

As ,I was solving problem after problem ,my pen gliding across the paper . Sameer was watching me in awe .

“Avni, you're literally a maths wizard!! You're solving every problem effortlessly !.If I had your kind of smartness , I'd always brag about it and never stop.”

I looked up at him,with a hint of suprise.

“You think so ?No one , except Nidhi ,has ever praised me.”

He looks at me with concern in his eyes.

“ Don't say that Aayu, If you have any kind of talent,then it always deserves recognition. Don't let your permanent sparkle go ,because of some temporary peoples ,who can't see your worth,”

I smile faintly

“Thanks, Sameer .That means alot coming from you!”

He smiles back

“ It's the truth,you are totally amazing ”

After sometime it was lunch break,Arman was helping Avni and Nidhi to get lunch.

We went to ur seats. Waiting for them...

But then Arman came without Avni and Nidhi.

“Oy,where are they?” i asked Arman in confusion.

“Miss Shreya called them , so they asked me to bring their trays to the seats”

“Ohh acha ”

For some reason, Dhruv and Arman gave eachother a look and then Dhruv said:

“Oyy, what's going on ? You've been praising Avni nonstop lately ”

Arman:
“ Ha, 'Avni you're so smart','Avni you're so talented ','Avni you're a maths wizard '...We get it  Sameer,you think she's awesome .”

I laughed at their stupid thoughts.

“ What's wrong with appreciating someone's intelligence?”

Dhruv got offended and said:
“Intelligence? Bro you're literally worshipping her!”

Arman:
“ We're starting to get insecure .Are you gonna ditch us for Avni ?”

I chuckled a little.

“Guys, don't be ridiculous ”

Dhruv (teasingly) :

“ Sameer has a crush on Avni, Sameer has a crush on Avni ”

Arman joins in , chanting along .

“Shut up guys, you're being ridiculous!”

Just then ,Avni and Nidhi came ,overhearing the commotion.

“ What's going on,guys?”Avni asked smiling mischievously

Arman(quickly):

“ Don't you know?, Sameer gotta crush on you ”

“Maybe, i  was too dumb to notice ”Avni playfully said

I didn't notice,when my face turned bright red and Dhruv and Arman burst out laughing.

“You guys are impossible ”

“ Don't worry ,Sameer .I won't let it go to my head”Avni teasingly said to me while making me blush more and more.

These chapters are boring? I know,but please trust your author ,bcoz your author is  trusting the process ...

I don't know if i could daily write stories now,bhai mera school khul raha hai kalse,so I think I can't write daily.
