Tyrone has always wanted a family and to provide for them, but his life quickly changed when he turned 18 and met Carrie. Everything was good for a while until 3 years into their relationship. Carrie got pregnant and her attitude changed towards Tyrone. Once their daughter, KC, was born, that's when everything went downhill in their relationship. Carrie started to get more distance and going out more. Eventually, Tyrone caught Carrie cheating and using drugs. So, he left and was fighting for full custody of KC. Sometimes Carrie will come around to give KC gifts, but she has never spent time with her or provided for her. When Tyrone turned 20, he finally landed a good job and whenever he had to work, he would drop KC off to his parents to babysit. KC loved her grandparents as they gave her anything she wanted but she wasn't spoiled.
Tyrone groans as he rubs his face. He just got off the phone with Carrie and it wasn't very good. Carrie is currently trying to ease her way back into their lives after not being around for 2 and a half years. KC doesn't even ask about Carrie anymore and Tyrone has been trying to tell her that, but Carrie doesn't care. Ever since she found out how much Tyrone is making; she wants back in so he can take care of her again. Tyrone shakes his head and walks out of the kitchen, seeing KC laying on the couch watching her favorite TV show. He smiles softy and walks over to her.
"KC? Do you want to go to grandmas and grandpas?" Tyrone asks.
"Yes! I'll go pack!" KC yells, running upstairs.
Tyrone laughs and gets on his phone, letting his mother know that he'll be dropping off KC and going out with some friends tonight. He then texts Joey and Kendrick and asks if he wanted to go out tonight. After getting a response from them, Tyrone walks up to his room and changes into something a little nicer and waits for KC to gather what she needs to stay the night. Once she's done, they head out and get something small to eat before dropping her off. When they get to his parents' place, he parks the car and walks inside with KC.
"Mom? Dad? We're here." Tyrone calls out.
"In the basement!" his mom, Raven, calls back.
Tyrone and KC walk down to the basement and finds his parents getting out the Halloween decorations. He shakes his head and helps them out and separates them before stepping back. KC laughs and runs over, looking for something to put up right away. Halloween is a few weeks away and the local bar hosts parties for any ages to come so Tyrone was going to be taking KC there with some of his friends and their kids.
"Alright. I'm going to head out. I'll see you Sunday." Tyrone says.
"Alright dad! I love you!" KC says.
"I love you too!" Tyrone replies.
Tyrone kisses the top of KC's head and hugs his parents before going out. He's been stressing out from work and from Carrie. He's not allowing her to come back as he's been taking care of his daughter just fine and didn't want her to come in and out of their lives again. Once he gets to the club, he waits for Joey and Kendrick. When they finally get there, they head in and go straight to the bar. They get a few drinks and talk for a bit.
"What is KC going as for Halloween?" Joey asks.
"Uh... oddly enough she's going as a frog." Tyrone says, laughing.
"That's funny. Michael is going as a cat, so I guess they'll both be weird." Kendrick laughs.
"But Zuri is coming as well with some of her friends. They'll be here shortly." Kendrick says.
While waiting, they sit around and talk for a little longer. Tyrone has been around Zuri's friends a lot, but Kendrick has mentioned that there's a new person joining them. A little while later, Zuri shows up with her friends and walks over to Kendrick and the boys. He watches as she walks in, his eyes scanning her quickly as dimples showing when she smiled. He wasn't looking for love but when she walked in, something switches in him, and he wants to get to know her.
"Guys. This is our new friend Lavender. She's a CNA and is turning 24 on Halloween." Zuri says.
"Hey guys!" Lavender says.
"Lavender, this is Kendrick my husband, Joey and our friend Tyrone." Zuri says.
"Hi. Nice to meet you guys." Lavender responds.
They all connected quickly and began to talk and drink together. Tyrone couldn't keep his eyes off of her though. She's beautiful. Flawless skin and beautiful grey eyes with lavender hair. The lights of the club reflected off her tan skin just right and it makes her look like an angel. Lavender walks over to the bar and gets a glass of water as her head began to hurt. Tyrone follows her to make sure she's okay.
"Hey, are you alright?" Tyrone asks.
"Uh yeah. My head is just hurting but I'm okay." Lavender says.
"Do you need anything? I got some headache medicine out in my car." Tyrone replies.
"Sure. That would be great right now actually." Lavender laughs.
As Tyrone and Lavender walk out to his car, she wraps her arms around herself. It was a little chilly but nothing she couldn't handle. Tyrone unlocks his car and opens the glove compartment, looking for what he needed. When he turns around, that's when he finally noticed that she has an eyebrow piercing and a couple of tattoos. It added more character to her.
"Here." Tyrone says.
"Thank you, Tyrone." Lavender says.
She quickly takes them and leans up against his car. They sit outside for a little while, talking and laughing with each other. They connected really well, and Tyrone felt the spark but didn't know if she did. They both go back in and meet up with their friends.
"Hey, I have to go. I just seen the time and I got work in the morning." Lavender says.
"Alright. Well, it was nice for you to come out with us and meeting you." Joey says.
"Likewise." Lavender replies.
Lavender gives a quick hug to Zuri and Mireya before leaving, waving at the others. Once she finally leaves, Zuri turns to Tyrone and raises a brow. She's known Tyrone since they were kids, so she knows him pretty well and she knows that Tyrone has a little crush on Lavender. Tryone looks at her and shakes his head at her, knowing exactly what she's saying. He would but he doesn't know how she would react to him having a kid and the mother of his kid is trying to get back into their lives. Only time would tell though.
