The next few weeks passed in a blur of awkward encounters, brief conversations, and stolen glances. Seungmin and Y/N began to talk more, though each conversation felt like it was from a dream. Every time they spoke, Y/N’s heart would race, and she’d try her best not to let her nerves get the best of her.

Seungmin, for his part, seemed genuinely kind and interested. He would wave at her between classes, ask about her day, and sometimes even share jokes or casual stories. Y/N couldn’t deny that their conversations made her heart swell, but it also terrified her.

One afternoon, after school, Y/N was waiting for Jisoo outside the school gates when Seungmin approached her again. Her stomach flipped as he stopped in front of her.

"Hey," he said with a soft smile. "Do you have a minute?"

"Of course," Y/N said, her voice suddenly shaky.

Seungmin scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "I’ve been meaning to ask you something. Uh, do you like music?"

Y/N blinked. "I love it."

"Me too," Seungmin said, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "I’m in a band. We’re looking for someone to help us with lyrics for a new song we’re working on. You’re really creative, right?"

Y/N stared at him, her mind racing. "You want me to help write lyrics for your band?" she repeated, unable to believe it.

"Yeah, I think you'd be perfect for it," Seungmin said. "You’re always so thoughtful with your words. I’m sure you could write something amazing."

Her heart skipped a beat. This was huge. Seungmin, the Seungmin, was asking her to help with something so personal. This was no casual request; he was giving her an opportunity to be a part of something important to him.

"Of course I’ll help!" she said before she even thought about it.

Seungmin’s eyes brightened, and he smiled. "Great. I knew you'd be up for it."

As Y/N watched him walk away, her mind raced. Maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something real. A small gesture, like writing lyrics for a song, could lead to something much bigger—something she never even dared to dream of.
