Mikha’s POV 

It's been 3years since I went abroad to work, and finally my 3 years contract is already ended. I finally can spend my new year with my family and especially my wife.

Yes I am already married, before i went to abroad I marry the girl i love but sadly opportunity came and I have to leave her behind.

Its been 3 years when i left her behind, she's with my family since she had no parents anymore both of her parents died because of illness. Luckily my parents and her parents know each other and my parents adopted her. That's why I ended up marrying her.

The first time i laid my eye on her, there's inside me that saying i should protect this girl at all cost. As the time goes by we get close to each other, that's when I develop my feelings towards her.

At first she's not into that relationship, but I show her that I am worth to love and she's worth it. I court her every single day we shared. And guess what I just bend a straight ruler.

After a months of courting she finally said yes and we're official. There was a time that me and her almost break up when she thought i was cheating on her but i was just helping this woman.

I'm so glad that she listen to me and my explaination, She can be tough sometimes but she has a good heart, that's why I marry her.

'She's the one' Thats the words that came to my mind.

I was interrupted when this cutie wolf beside me nudge me.

     "Mikha Limare you ready to go home?" the figure beside her utter.

     "I'm excited Ate Colet" I smile widely as we enter the airplane.

     "Can't wait to see your wife?" Colet said.

     "Yea, I miss her so much, It's been 3 years since I saw her face."

     "I know you missed your wife too colet" I chuckles.

     "Yea, I really missed my Maloi" colet pouted then we sit at our designated sits.

     "So your wife know your going home?" colet speaks I shook my head.

     "Nope, Only my family. I want to surprise her" colet laughs.

     "You're something mikha fox" I just laugh at her and buckled my sitbelt. It's gonna be a long riiideee.

After 10 hours of flying in the sky our airplane finally landing done.

It's December 31, 2024 exactly 10:00 pm.

It's New Year Eve it's the very first time i'll be spending my new year with my family including my wife.

Colet and I walks out the plane and go directly to the luggage area, After we picks up our luggage we exited the luggage area and straight to the taxi bay.

     "Yo Mikhs i'll be heading now. Happy new year bro." I grabs colet hands to do our handshake.

     "Happy new year to you too ate colet.. Send my regards to ate moi" I smiles and colet get inside the cab first.

After colet left I call a taxi and get inside the taxi, I'm so excited to go home..

'Wait for me my love' I thought and the cab drove away.

MIKHA’S HOUSE

     "Is everything settled? Mikha just text me she's here in 15 minutes" mikha's mother said

     "Yes, Already settled" sheena said.

     "Ma" they startled when mikha's wife speaks.

     "Oh yes?" mikha's mother said.

     "Nothing it's 11:40 and after 20 minutes it's already New year." Mikha's wife smile. Mikha's mother also smile at her.

     "But I wish mikha was here.." the smile of mikha's wife faded when she remember her lover.

     "Don't be sad.. you know mikha would be sad if she found you sad." Mikha's mother comfort the girl beside her and hug her.

     "Yea sorry ma"

     "It's okay ate, We're hereeee" sheena said while smiling.

     "Guys It's 11:55pm Let's go to the backyard to set the fountain" stacey said.

All of them gathered at the backyard including mikha's wife. Sheena signal Jhoanna to open the front door and let mikha in.

     "So where's my wife?" mikha whisper at jhoanna.

     "She's in the yard." mikha nodded and move towards the backyard but she hides.

     "It's 12:00 am HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE" mikha's mother shouted, as well as the rest of the family.

     "HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONEEEE" mikha's wife shouted and hug everyone of them. They set the foutain and watch.

Mikha’s wife seems empty, she looks done.

     "I wish mikha was here." She whisper to her self, little did she know mikha was in her back.

     "Happy new year my wife" mikha smiles at her wife lovingly.

Everyone shouted as they saw mikha also the shock of mikha's wife face.

     "MIKHAAA LIMM" The older girl hugs her wife tightly.

     "BUBBYYY" She carry her wife as she hugs her.

     "You're finally home" aiah's cried out.

     "Yes, I'm finally home aiah"

     "You're my home" she kiss her wife passionately.
