"The News"

Nerina Pov

I sometimes regret the things I do and right now was one of that time as I stood in front of the grand master's head office. After thinking about all the choices that led me here i knocked on the door and entered the office.

There he was the grand master of the arcane magic academy and as he saw me he sighed and signalled me to sit which I did and waited for the lecture that he was about to give me.

"Nerina now tell me why are you here again" he asked softly which was not a good sign at all

"Sir I know I was in the wrong but she started it" i tried to explain but he cut me off

"I don't care Nerina I have had enough of your outburst so from today onwards you're not going to be studying in this academy as I am transferring to the obsidian tower"

And as he said that all the hope that i was clinging to shattered that instant "yo-you can't do that to me sir you know magic is everything for me and if you transfer me from here I don't know what i would do" i said trying to change his mind but his face told me everything.

"No Nerina this is final and it's not like i am kicking you out no I am just transferring to another academy" he said trying to calm me but this wasn't helping at all as I haven't even heard about this obsidian tower.

I knew there was no way you're going to change your mind and if I was going to be transferred I at least needed to know about that place "So what is this obsidian tower and who is going to teach me there.

He looked at me surprised that i agreed and said " obsidian tower is situated in the centre of Eldrasil covered by forest and the one who rules that tower is one of the best mages out there her name is Lyriana but we don't know much about her because she rarely leaves the obsidian tower and there is no way to contact her"

Lyriana i have heard that name before but if there was no way to contact her how could I be transferred there " wait a minute if there is no way to contact this lyriana then how come I am getting transferred there"

"Ah about that she asked for you herself" he said and showed me a letter and after reading that i was more confused than ever.

"Wait what do you mean she asked for me I mean why me"

"Well she looks for talented mages all the time but there are hardly anyone she picks but those who she does pick often became famous and powerful mage throughout the continent so getting picked by her is a great chance for you to became more powerful so please don't say no to this offer Nerina it's for your own good as your rebellious nature will get you kicked out of this academy sooner or later"

I didn't know what to do on one hand i have the opportunity to became better than anyone but on the other i would be all alone there without any of my friends but after thinking for a while I agreed and with that i was now on my way to Obsidian Tower.
