College is not something everyone wanted to go to or be in. I had a choice to go and I still decided to go. It was either this or getting kicked out on to the street by my parents. Either way, I don't think I would change a thing about my decision. It was the first day of classes. Had to be in my seat by 7am to meet my professor. I woke up at six in the morning that day. I felt a wave of exhilaration wash over me. Even though I was only 19 years old, I felt that was the day my adult life finally started. I threw on my clothes and headed outside to meet my friends.

Zavier pulled up to me in his car. Mason in the passenger seat and Leena in the seat behind the Zavier. I opened the car door and slid in, exchanging hello's and good morning's. "Ready to start classes?' I asked Leena. "Eh, kind of" she said as she brought her Mango Ice Tea flavored vape to her lips. "Are you?" She asked before taking a hit. "You know she is." Mason said before I could answer. Zavier pulled off from out of the parking lot after he heard the click of my seatbelt. "Sierra is always excited to learn something new." Mason said as he reached his hand back in Leena"s direction. "You need to go out and get your own vape." Leena said before taking another long hit of her vape and handing it to Mason. "I will this weekend, promise." Mason said as he took a couple hits.

I watched as he blew the aerosol out of his mouth, which went nowhere but in my face. "Can you blow that somewhere else?" I asked Mason as I tried to fan it away. "Oh shit sorry Sierra." Mason said mid blow. Zavier rolled down Mason's window to let it all out. After his nicotine itch was satisfied, he handed the small device back to Leena. "Are you excited Zavier?" I asked. Zavier shrugged. "School isn't really my thing. I learn better in the real world." He started to slow down to turn into the school's parking lot. "Yeah me too! I learn better in the real world as well!" Mason said and giggled. Zavier rolled his eyes. "The only thing you look for is the next woman you claim to be your wife." Zavier said as he circled the parking lot looking for a spot. Mason ket out another giggle, "But this new girl, I promise I'm going to marry her!"

"That's what you said with last girl, in fact, what happened to her? Weren't you talking about marrying her last week?" I asked. "I was going to marry her, but she turned out to be super crazy, but this new girl I'm talking to- she's the one I can feel it!" Mason exclaimed. Zavier parked the car. "As long if you don't bring a single one of them into our room." Zavier said as he shut the car off and got out. Zavier and Mason are roommates. The rest of us got out of the car and started walking towards the college steps. Once we got inside we parted from Leena, she was in a different class than us. I walked with Mason and Zavier to our class. Once we got in, Zavier sat at the seat closest to the professor's desk and Mason sat in the seat the furthest away from the desk. I sat in the middle of their distance. As the time to start got closer, the rest of our class started to fall in.

Now dear reader, I will not get into what this class was about or how it pertains to my life, because it has no relevance to our story. Now I will skip a little bit ahead to when Zavier and Mason asked me to go to one of their get togethers. Mason bought some steaks and Zavier knew how to work a grill. Outside our dorm rooms we have courtyards and within each courtyard it had two gazebos and each gazebo had two grills. The get together was at the gazebo that was closest to their room.

Leena had asked me earlier that day if I was going and I told her I would, but since we didn't know who was going to be there except for Mason and Zavier, we decided to meet up and head to the area together. I decided to wear my 13th Floor black hoodie, a pair of black shorts, my red and black thigh highs with my all black Converse. I went to Leena's room and knocked. She opened the door and let me in. "You almost ready?" I asked her. "Yeah I just need to get my bag together." Leena has a small black backpack that holds all of her important items like her glasses, extra vape, wallet and phone. Just as we were about to walk out Leena remembered something. "Oh!" she exclaimed. She went into her cabinet and pulled out to bottles of... well you can guess dear reader. "You're bringing that with?" I asked her. She nodded. "Yeah, I'm not going to drink it and you need chasers. Might as well bring it so it so the others can enjoy it." She tucked both bottle in her sweater and we headed out to Mason and Zavier's side of the dorms.

When we got outside, we realized it was more than a little get together. There were probably about 20 people outside. Zavier was manning the grill and Mason was chalking it up to this girl who he's probably going to say is new wife tomorrow morning on the drive to class. Leena and I quickly found a spot at one of the picnic tables. She placed the bottles she had with her with the rest. We were scoping out the scene until I heard a, "SIERRA?" I turned to my right. "Holy shit! Raymond??" I quickly got up and gave him a hug. "I didn't know you go here!" I turned to Leena, "I went to high school with this guy!" (I in fact did not. This is to just keep the story flowing.) "How have you been?" I asked Raymond.

"I've been good! I didn't know you were friends of Zavier!" He said. "Yeah, we're in the same class, same as Mason." he nodded. I then quickly introduced him to Leena. Once they got aquatinted they were talking almost the entire night. During that time we had a few drinks. I wasn't sober at this point. I was having so much fun, until I saw someone walking. He looked just like my coworker Daxton from a distance, and to non-sober me, that's exactly who I thought it was.

"Daxton?!" I called out. The guy turned around and pointed at himself. "Yeah! You!" I called out again. "Are you Daxton?" He started to walk towards me. "No, sorry I'm not." He said with a smile. "OH!" I said loudly. Leena laughed at me. "You really thought he was Daxton?" I turned to look at her. "Well yeah from a distance they look the same!" I said. Leena then grabbed a cup. "Ask him is he wants a drink." I turned back to the stranger. He walked off but was still close. "Hey!" I called out to him, e turned around again. "You want a drink?" He walked back over to Leena and I. "Yeah actually, I'll take one." He sat down on the bench next to me and I poured him a drink and handed the red cup to him.

"I really needed this." He said smiling again as he took a sip. "Really? Why? Are you okay?" I asked, my words a tad bit slurred. "Yeah I'm okay." He said. He started to tell me what happened between him, his. roommate and some girl his roommate knew. I'm sorry reader I would describe what happened but there no retelling or twisting I could do to make it sound okay enough to put in this story, so as of right now you can fill in this part with your own interpretation as to why this stranger was walking around the dorms trying to get away from his own roommate.

I listen to this stranger's story. After he was done I asked for his name. "Zayne, what's yours?" I held out my hand, "I'm Sierra" and shook his hand.

This dear reader, this is where our story truly begins.
